Hoges as a defender? Pert's feet are barely under the desk and match committee is already leaking

Jesse is back in Perth now. Interesting to see what, if anything, develops over the next couple of days

Regardless of mail Fremantle and Peter 'tinker' Bell seem to be butchering everything they put their minds to so far this trade period. The potential Neale trade looks like it could fall through this week

Farewell Dom Tyson
From what I've seen/heard you couldn't get a better bloke to be around a footy club and it looked like he'd built some good relationships with seemingly everyone at the MFC. Sad he couldn't crack the 100 club game mark after coming to us when we had barely any redeeming features except a coach who showed some faith and went after Dom. He definitely helped to bring our inside midfield game up to AFL standard in the early Roos years from the basket case it was prior to that. Found himself on the outer a bit this year, both figuratively and literally, and struggled to break back in despite playing 17 games. Battled manfully through injury setbacks and interrupted pre-seasons and I hope he can find a clean slate at NMFC and reach the potential he showed for us back in 2014-15. Go well Domma.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Would be interested to now if we're carrying any of Dom's fairly sizeable salary or if that was a sticking point - anyone care to shed any light? ala us still carrying part of JW's salary for two years... This trade seemed to false start a couple of times and wondering if salary/years was at the heart of it

Do we think that AVB signing on means Tyson's papers are stamped? At least from a cap perspective...? Or are the two unrelated?

Thanks for your service Bernard! Was an elite run-with player for a good while there, and will leave a massive hole in terms of culture, driving standards and a cool head when many around him are losing theres. He's going to be on Front Bar this Friday - reckon it will be tuning in for that- 2019 best 22 and depth chart
I like your thinking, but there's no way I see that trade happening...- 2019 best 22 and depth chart
I've gone from seemingly one of the few Tyson defenders on DL, to now convinced it's time to offload him elsewhere while we can still get some reasonable value. Especially after yesterday's performance on top of the last month or so. The alternative is that he get's around McCartney to change his game over the pre-season (ala Harmes) or he languishes in the Casey twilight zone- The Need for Outside Midfielders
Tyson for Murphy and a pick was the strong mail around the place this arvo- Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
What's Tyson got to do with this? We get that he's off the pace but he's not like-for-like with Lewis, Vince or even Hunt, who really stunk it up in the AFL side earlier this season by the way- Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Bartlet is on MMM Hot Breakfast right now discussing the proposed Yarra Park training complex and also the Pert appointment- New CEO - Gary Pert
A close friend of mine knows Pert through being in the CFC coterie and personally before that. Some of the stories about that period at the filth are interesting to say the least. I'd like to think that he now feels like h has a point to prove and has learned from errors in the past. I did not see this coming. The mail doing the rounds is that PJ was shut out of the process, to the extent that he'd sought to background some scribes around town of the discontent amongst some with how the process was unfolding. That could prove to be apocryphal. In any case, I'm willing to back in Bartlet's judgement until proven otherwise- The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread

Ah yes! Welcome back to this thread. I've been looking for ward to this time of year to roll around for a while now, although after Froome's result last night I'm not sure what to think anymore... Now with all the one day classics done, it's time for the big GC's and we're in for a good couple of month's I think!- 2018 Membership Thread
This might have already been covered in this thread, but was there any season launch type even this year? I've attended the last four years and kept an eye out this year but haven't seen anything (unless I missed it...)- 2018 Membership Thread
Is AHG not re-signing an actual thing yet or just a bit of bluster at this stage? Visions of 2012 when The Reach Foundation was front of jumper sponsor with MFC unable to come to any agreements with potential suitors (albeit following the Energy Watch debacle). Schwab likened it to UNICEF on the front of Barcelona FC if I recall correctly.- The No T$ No B$ Thread

For those of us out there who think that too much sport is never enough, and who could blame you after today, Amstel Gold is on tonight! In the Fog's opinion, Simon Gerrans in worthy of close attention tonight. This race, as much as any, looks prime for his taking!- CYCLING
