They were still our best 2 players by a country mile and you know it.

Pickett is a player we need Serong less so but he would be an upgrade on Brayshaw who continues to disappoint.

Tony Lockett would not have got a kick in the forward line today. The delivery into the forward line was abysmal. He's kicked 17 goals which is good could have kicked straighter but that hasn't been the case. The form of Viney and the form of Melksham are more concerning.

He should play against the Dockers we need his class. No one has class in the side.

It has to be asked. We got ahead of ourselves again, managed a player when we said we wouldn't that already tells me that we thought we had it won before the ball was bounced. Skeptical selections in Oscar, Smith, Jones and ANB. Missing 2 sitters by Gawn and Langdon when we could have stolen it. Only 2 players played well again in Gawn and Langdon. Jones has been a great servant of the club but it's time to hang up the boots. He's been a burden all year really the mistakes he has made have been atrocious for a player with his experience. He should have hung up the boots last year. ENJOY RETIRE JONESY YOU HAVE BEEN A GREAT OF THE CLUB!

This club is a joke and if Bartlett is the president he needs to be he should sack Goodwin immediately. Just when you think we can't do a Melbourne we do. Disgustingly inept performance if Oscar, Smith, Jones and ANB get another game I will be [censored]. I've almost had it with this club they do it to me time and time again.

This club is a [censored] disgrace. How can you put Oscar and Smith in the same team? Oscar is the worst footballer in the league and Smith is not much better. How many games is Jones going to cost us? He is a disgrace. Gawn the only one having a go. The team is a disgrace bye bye Goodwin.

I think Rivers will get Papley. Does Harmes play in the middle allowing Smith to play down back when talk was he was going to stay back. Fritsch is a great in and Neal-Bullen really has to find another level on defensive to replace Pickett.

No for me forward line too tall. Jackson and Weideman are the way to go.

Gawn, Rivers, Brown are good ins and Jones for Sparrow is acceptable but Wagner is a iffy decision as he doesn't have pace while Hunt and Baker didn't get picked. Oscar must be playing on King it's the only reason I can think of so May can play on Membrey who has caused us lots of problems. Baker will cause us problems if Hibberd plays like he did against Wallis. Dropping Lockhart is mind boggling. Fritsch out is the poorest timing ever how can you stuff up with finals on the line?
