  1. How has Petty gone? No one has talked about him all season.
  2. So we have Jetta, May, Lever, Salem, O.McDonald, Hibberd, Harmes, Lockhart, Smith and Rivers. We have 7 backman in the side according to Chaplin. I have Jetta, Hibberd and O.McDonald out. Questions remain though is Lockhart good enough to play on Betts or do we stick with Jetta? Is Smith too small to play CHB? Is Rivers too young to debut? My head says Smith and Rivers won't play and Harmes will go to the midfield but my heart goes with Jetta, Hibberd and O.McDonald out I don't know what to go with, it's a tough decision.
  3. After listening to Chaplin and Richo I think they will make drastic changes so here's my team: B: LOCKHART, MAY, LEVER HB: SALEM, SMITH, RIVERS C : LANGDON, PETRACCA, TOMLINSON HF: PICKETT, JACKSON, JONES F: MELKSHAM, T.MCDONALD, FRITSCH FOLL: GAWN, OLIVER, VINEY IC: HARMES(BACK), BRAYSHAW(MID), BENNELL(MID), HANNAN(FORWARD) EMRG: JETTA, HIBBERD, O.MCDONALD, WEIDEMAN
  4. I picked my 22 from the Melbourne website B: JETTA, MAY, LEVER HB: HIBBERD, O.MCDONALD, SALEM C : LANGDON, PETRACCA, TOMLINSON HF: JONES, T.MCDONALD, PICKETT F: FRITSCH, WEIDEMAN, MELKSHAM FOLL: GAWN, OLIVER, VINEY IC: HARMES, BRAYSHAW, BENNELL, PETTY Vandenberg has been ruled out because of his foot. Hibberd won't be dropped yet but I don't think he'll last the season either. Bennell hasn't been ruled out so I'm backing him in. Petty was impressive last year I want him in the side. Lockhart and Hannan unlucky to miss out we have nothing after that though. I think we only go 25 deep with Jackson being the unknown.
  5. 2000 was too young. In 98 we had older heads in Lyon, Stynes, Tingay and Shanahan. Personally I still think 98 team was better than 2000.
  6. This is why I was so critical in Dazzle not buying a membership. Everyone must buy a membership jump on board.
  7. Petty or Bennell must come in for ANB. 2 potential guns that would be wasted as emergencies. If they are not fit then Hannnan gets a go. ANB must be dropped his poor form can not be tolerated.
  8. 1 - FARMER 2 - DAVEY 3 - WHELAN 4 - MAY 5 - JURRAH 6 - JETTA 7 - GARLETT 8 - B.PICKETT 9 - CHARLES 10 - WONEAMIRRI
  9. Why not Neal-Bullen he was hopeless?
  10. I thought Newnes would get a game.
  11. Pittonet will take his place.
  12. If we get rid of any of our top 25 players the club is a disgrace. We finished 2nd last we shouldn't have a problem with the salary cap. Players that we must keep. JETTA, MAY, LEVER, SALEM, O.MCDONALD, HIBBERD, LANGDON, PETRACCA, TOMLINSON, PICKETT, T.MCDONALD, JONES, MELKSHAM, WEIDEMAN, FRITSCH, GAWN, OLIVER, VINEY, HARMES, BRAYSHAW, LOCKHART, BENNELL, PETTY, VANDENBERG AND HANNAN.
  13. ANB won't play he's been dropped before and he will be dropped again. There are 26 players in front of him IMO and that's depending on how Bennell and Vanders are tracking. OMac is Goody's pet but even knowing that he deserves his spot with the job he did on Darling.
  14. Just watched the first quarter of the West Coast game and boy was Langdon's poster from 30 meters out was costly. We would have been in front if he goaled instead West Coast kick 4 goals in 3 minutes game over.
  15. The extra interchange will help out Bennell, not how far away Vanders is but it would help him too.
  16. O.Mac was good last time while ANB was poor far from a certainty.
  17. B: JETTA, MAY, LEVER HB: SALEM, O.MCDONALD, HIBBERD C : LANGDON, PETRACCA, TOMLINSON HF: PICKETT, T.MCDONALD, JONES F: MELKSHAM, WEIDEMAN, FRITSCH FOLL: GAWN, OLIVER, VINEY IC: HARMES, BRAYSHAW, LOCKHART, PETTY EMERG: BEDFORD, HANNAN, NEAL-BULLEN, SMITH With Stevens ruling Bennell out that's good enough for me. Petty comes in as the 3rd tall as he could do some damage with T.Mac who has a good record against the Blues. Lockhart breathing down Hibberd's neck if he doesn't perform soon he could be replaced. CARLTON B: DOCHERTY, JONES, PLOWMAN HB: SIMPSON, MARCHBANK, WEITERING C : MURPHY, CRIPPS, NEWNES HF: MARTIN, MCKAY, DOW F: BETTS, MCGOVERN, GIBBONS FOLL: PITTONET, WALSH, E.CURNOW IC: NEWMAN, PETREVSKI-SETON, KENNEDY, CASBOULT
  18. You forgot '98 that was the best era.
  19. None are really close. The top 4 seems to be set with Richmond, West Coast, GWS and Collingwood. Both can make it in the bottom half of the 8 with a host of other sides.
  20. I'd prefer Yze has been under the coach of the century. Hawthorn have a pretty good record with their assistant coaches with the exception of Bolton.
  21. Put your money on Adelaide they are ****house. Gold Coast will probably win it they are a few years away from being competitive.
  22. Good luck to Crossy and Rooke they tried their best.
  23. If Bennell doesn't play I would play Petty. He could be damaging as the 3rd tall. Jones and Salem in for sure. Spargo and Neal-Bullen have had plenty of chances must be dropped. Weideman should come in for Brown. Bedford the unlucky one to be out, he showed good defensive pressure but either Bennell if fit should play he averages 21 disposals and a goal a game they don't grow on trees, or Petty should take his spot with Hannan as the smokey.
  24. 3 weeks away to the season starts what will the round 2 team be? I'll have a stab. B: JETTA, MAY, LEVER HB: SALEM, O.MCDONALD, HIBBERD C : LANGDON, PETRACCA, TOMLINSON HF: PICKETT, T.MCDONALD, JONES F: MELKSHAM, WEIDEMAN, FRITSCH FOLL: GAWN, OLIVER, VINEY IC: HARMES, BRAYSHAW, LOCKHART, BENNELL EMERG: PETTY, BEDFORD, HANNAN, NEAL-BULLEN
  25. I agree that the less coaches the but it will simplify things and make it a better. Let the excitement machines do what they do best and not over complicate it like Pickett and Petracca can do.
