If Weideman turns out to be 75% as good as Hogan (and his early VFL form would suggest he might be) then we won't have a huge problem going forward, provided we can keep the rest of our young guns. One gun key forward, one gun ruckman and a shitload of gun smalls has been the recipe to success for years. Two gun forwards is better than one but not the be all and end all. Of course nobody wants him to go but he's just one part of the puzzle. For what it's worth he's barely fired a shot in our wins this year (last quarter against Giants aside).

What does it say? Herald Sun's paywell is very tight these days. Jay Clark correctly predicted Oscar McDonald would be picked ahead of Lynden Dunn several days out from Round 1 so I'm prepared to believe he's well connected with the club.
-
If you can find me evidence of the Tyson prediction I'd be much more inclined to believe you. I don't recall anyone, on here on in the media, coming close to predicting that one.
-
Footy Classified? They're only interested in the negatives and scandals. I bet they spent most of the show discussing how bad Richmond and Collingwood are. The only chance of our game being mentioned would be to sink the boots into the Suns. Rubbish show.

His initial 3-year deal that Neeld gave to him was ridiculed for a long time. Most people wanted him delisted after one game and couldn't even begin to fathom having him around for three seasons. As it turns out, he's going to hang around for 5-6 years. Crazy Neeldy gets the last laugh here!
-
Maybe I need to remove the red and blue glasses, but I'm surprised he isn't getting hyped up more in the media. He's every bit as good as Cripps.
-
A bit harsh on Tyson again, joeboy. He is using the ball much better now than he used to. Agree with the rest.
-
He should have dished that one off I reckon, although it doesn't matter so much when he kicks it. Agree that he has been a great pick up. The Kennedy-Bugg combination couldn't have been any less inspiring on paper last October but their value to the side already cannot be understated. Trading up to get Oliver looks like a [censored] masterstroke too. We should look at keeping Roos on as a list manager because that's where he does his best work.
-
If Kent or Kennedy are dropped I'll eat my hat.

Viney might be in doubt, we seem to be pretty conservative with concussions. Salem for Michie.
-
At one stage, about midway through the final quarter, the contested possession leaders came up on the screen. Oliver was first with 12 and Petracca second with 11. Beasts.
-
Oliver, Hunt and Petracca. Wow. With more consistency, we could be the Western Bulldogs of this season. How good is this to watch.
-
Any danger of showing the game instead of uninteresting replays, Fox?
-
Oliver is a class above.

Too much emphasis being placed on Suns being on the 'rebound'. Like it matters. It certainly made no difference to Collingwood and Richmond's fortunes, while I think St.Kilda beat us because Alan Richardson did his homework and exploited us (that, and that they always beat us). Our small forwards were asleep last week and I don't even want to begin to describe our defenders' efforts. If they are on song today we'll win.

vandenBerg's prognosis of 3-4 weeks hasn't changed for a fortnight. The poster who claimed he had surgery and would miss 8 weeks was probably onto something.
-
Don't forget Nick's cousin ran rings around us last Sunday and even Travis Cloke snagged two of the easiest goals you're ever likely to see. Tom Lynch will kick 6-10 next week if the Suns are first to the footy.
-
I heard Chris Scott say recently that he believes sticking with more-or-less the same 22 is more beneficial than swinging the axe after a bad loss. I think Roos has the same mindset and would be surprised if there's more than 2-3 changes. I'd be staggered if Salem played, he didn't know what planet he was on after the head clash. Matt Jones will probably be his replacement. I'd also bring in Oliver for Harmes. That's it.

Not one to normally question the coaches as I don't know what they say to the players but when St.Kilda take 18 UNCONTESTED marks inside their forward 50 serious questions need to be asked. If it's not Beau Wilkes cutting us up then it's no namers like [censored] Membrey. First Boomer now Riewoldt. I get it they're great players but not enough homework has been put into stopping them. Riewoldt ran around on his own all afternoon. They've been tearing us up for years and will continue to do so for much longer by the looks of things. Anyone underwhelmed by Petracca only has themselves to blame. The guy is not Jesus, and was far from the worst out there. Temper your expectations.
-
That was [censored] pathetic from McDonald. The gap between his best and worst is way too large.
-
Anyone comparing Petracca to Toumpas is a [censored] idiot. The coaching and defending has been abysmal. How many times will white jumpers be free and walk the ball into goal? This is reminiscent of 2013.
-
[censored] hell, first Boomer Harvey and now Riewoldt. These guys could literally be 70 years old and still carve us up. Why isn't anyone playing near Riewoldt? Half time of his first game (with double digit disposals no less) and Petracca has already been called the new Toumpas. Don't ever change Demonland.
-
There's a small, but good, place called Bradman's that will definitely show it.

Only tightness. DIsappointing because him and Riewoldt save their best footy for us even now when they are well into their 30s. -

Montagna named for the Saints. He'll tear us a new one, no doubt.
