CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
OUT: Oliver: Take the week, get it right. Bowey: No shame in a young player taking a week. Refresh, get the confidence back up. Bedford: Was exposed by a well drilled, mature team. IN: Dunstan: For Oliver if required. Allows Petracca to play more minutes up forward. Rivers: For Bowey. Too good to be out for too long. Laurie: For Bedford. Let’s see what he’s got. Sub: Hunt.

Is our offense a problem?
When you see the effort and endeavour that the Geelong players push forward to pressure and out-number our defenders it seems that our forwards aren’t working hard enough. Delivery is an issue, but there’s a work rate problem as well.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Geelong fade in the 4th. Two goals in a good place to be.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER
We have two Key (lockdown) Defenders ahead of him in May and Petty. Both have a history of injuries and May will be 31 at the start of next season. Tomlinson hasn't been able to recapture anything close to his 2021 form following injury. This is a very good signing.

Ben Brown
He’s out of form. Still a quality player who will bounce back.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Can’t judge him at all on tonight’s performance. Was asked to play first ruck against one of the best in the league. Good on him.

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
Daisy Pearce puts every commentator to shame. Her football IQ is Stephen Hawking-like.
-
Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
Puts a lot of what people, who claim to be “insiders”, say into perspective. Lots of people in the know in the media and on socials completely missed the lifetime contract about to be signed by the league’s best midfielder.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I wouldn’t expect anything in addition to Brayshaw. In fact, if that was the trade I’d say Freo would prefer to keep Brayshaw.

TMac Finals Return?
I'd say he done for the season. It's also not the kind of injury that should/can be rushed in any way shape or form. Has to be 100% or it can be a career ender.

The Run Home
Yes, but week one would be at the GABBA or Optus. Finish top 2 and we can clean sweep at the MCG.
-
The Run Home
Top 4 would obviously be great, but my concern is that two other likely top 4 contenders are Brisbane and Fremantle. Finishing below those two would make the first and third weeks of the finals very, very tough.

Demon Army Cheer Squad
I’m not sure I understand the issue. If you want the cheer squad to be bigger and louder, then join the cheer squad. They’re not there to provide us with a service, they’re there to enjoy the football and support the team in their own way. Not sure where anyone gets off telling them how to cheer.

NON-MFC: Round 12, 2022
Same sentence as Chandler’s tackle… ok…

NON-MFC: Round 12, 2022
He’s a gun. Would be my pick out of all the rising stars so far this year.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
Fremantle is a very good team. They played their brand of football and beat us without having to change. They’ll struggle to play that well every week, but on their day they’ll [censored] anyone.

Northern Territory Team
Then you'll need to persuade 40 young, well paid, professional athletes to live there and turn down enticing contracts from the major cities that promise fame, big stadiums, big crowds and the glitz and glamour that their peers enjoy. Tough sell for Tasmania; very tough sell for the NT.

Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti
It's a big loss to the game. I liked watching him play, which is unprecedented for and Essendon player. The type of person able to endure the demands of professional football is becoming more and more homogenised. Hope he enjoys the next stage of his life!

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Yes. A 200 game premiership player.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Taylor Walker would be the third greatest goal kicker we’ve ever had (will most likely be the second by the time he retires.) Would very happily take a young Walker, Darling or McDonald for the next 10 years. (not that we’d need them - we’ve got JVR!)

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
I'd quite confidently back in little-fellas like Lloyd (192), Pavlich (192), Fevola (191), Jonathan Brown (195) and little Davie Neitz (191) to have a pretty solid impact on the game today. Zero concerns about JVR's height; it's all about how you use it.

What They Are Saying at Arden Street
I remember in the final against Adelaide in '02 we came storming back and took the lead, I felt really sorry for some Adelaide supporters sitting in front of me... then the Crows came storming back to win it. I vowed that dark night to never feel any sympathy or pity for anyone until the siren had sounded!
