Training - Tuesday 4th September, 2018
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn't mind that, as it would allow us to release Fritsch to the wing and forward where he is very dangerous. -
I noticed this during Bernie's farewell speech. Had never seen it before.
-
Thanks Bernie for all your efforts. The day we hold up the cup he deserves to be in the rooms with the boys to celebrate!
-
I finished 754th in Australia which I am pretty happy with. Anyone finish higher?
-
Not sure who's team 'Tipungwuti' is but we had a cracking Grand final! I was very lucky to get the win by 10 points! 2720 - 2710! Extremely high scores!
-
Has to be Oliver. Will go down as a Demons great.
-
-
He must hate the Dees. Beat a top 8 side by 7 goals and one player? haha this guy is a joke.
-
They've suspended the sale of tickets. Coming out this arvo with new times.
-
Well looks like the game is sold out already........ what a joke of a website
-
Not sure why tickettek wouldn't stagger the tickets?? Monday - Hawks v Tigers Tuesday -Dees v Cats Wednesday - the other two games. Is that to much common sense for our world?

Robbo's All Australian Team 2018
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's a shame that Neville can't quite crack into the 22. Laird gets in because of higher possession numbers, but as lock down small defenders go there is none as good as Nev. -
Had a down year but was a great player, especially in their premiership year. At only 26 years old I'd be backing him in to get back to his best, plus a change of scenery may do him good. My preference is 1) Gaff 2) Dahlhaus
-
That would be an absolute disaster! I hope the AFL are not serious about this?!?!

Team of the week - Round 22
DistrACTION Jackson replied to DistrACTION Jackson's topic in Melbourne Demons
Tbh I didn't. And I'm not saying Gawn 100% should have been ahead of Grundy, they were just some examples. My point was more around the context of the games. Adelaide v North was a dead rubber, Melbourne overcame the 2nd best side i the competition at their home game to lock in finals. Waite kicked 3 goals, Melksham 4. Seems like a bit of oversight from Cornes. Anyway, who really cares we won and that's all that matters. -
Team of the week - Round 22
DistrACTION Jackson replied to DistrACTION Jackson's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ok well my first would be Gawn in for Grundy. Next would be Waite off the bench and Melksham on. Then I'd remove Taylor Adams and put on Brayshaw. -
Not sure how a side that beats the 2nd place side in Perth only has one player in the weekly best 22? Kane Cornes is a complete nuffie. The following players were very stiff: Brayshaw, Melksham, Gawn & to an extent Oliver.

C'mon Freo! Get the job done!
-
I was thinking this also. Play Weid/TMac up forward and Lever, OMac & Hogan in he backline. That is easily the best group of KPP in one side.

I was there! -
Loved his game. Do that every game for the remainder of the season and we will be tough to beat!

Hogan 2018 season over with foot injury
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Lord Ivanhoe's topic in Melbourne Demons
Time for the Weid to make his mark! I called for Pedo to stay in the side but I'm backtracking on that. Weidemann has a massive opportunity to stamp his place in the side and possibly play a final or two. -
It seems likely that Hogan will miss based on his interview on Talking Footy. With that in mind I'd go with the following: Out - Hogan (inj), Hunt (inj), Spargo In- Melksham, Hibberd, Kent I love little Spargo but he looks tired and may need a break. Kent will come in to take his role and Pedersen will go forward to replace Hogan.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 21
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gawn seemed really down and looks to be struggling. Begs the question why we would risk him against the Suns last week rather than give him a week off? This football department make dumb mistake after dumb mistake. We should have a genuine second ruck who can come in for a week when we play one of the bottom sides! Everyone on here was screaming out for us to go after a mature ruckman, but the football department believe they should just run Maxy into the ground!
