GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Ok. If you're saying that a close contact gets a PCR and if Negative can then go out I agree with that.

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
It doesn't matter if I do a PCR or RAT. The rules are the same, I have to do a 7 day ISO because my gf has it and we live together. My other point was Ben Brown having to pull out as a 'close contact'. I just think the rules now are pointless.

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
My point is we've now had probably 60-70% of Victorians having either had or been exposed to Covid now, so not sure what the point of the current rules is.

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Everyone is just looking at the 7 goals last week, but don't acknowledge Weid played a lot of the game in the ruck and further up the ground. In my mind Mitch Brown will only play as a replacement for Fritsch.

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
It is quite ridiculous that even now after 3 different vaccines, we are still making people go into 'health and safety protocols' for being a close contact. Do your RAT and if you're negative then get on with it. My gf currently has Covid, I've had it months ago and also did a RAT this week and was negative. But under the rules can't go tonight :(

Farewell Luke Jackson
I have no doubt he will sign on for at least 2 years. After that who knows, but by that stage he could be so ingrained in the Dees culture and club he couldn't imagine leaving.

Brownlow chances for Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver?
Based on current output, Trac will win with a total of 66 votes.

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Anyone who follows Trac on Insta will see how much work he does away from the club on maintaining his body. Not too worried about him early in the week, I think al the work he does mid-week gets him primed for the games. Oliver is the same.

AFLW Prelim at the G
Covid restrictions will mean I can't get there :(

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I don't think he will play this weekend, but one guy I was excited about from VFL footage is Laurie. He looked really zippy and skillful in the midfield. Could add a nice point of difference in our midfield in future and I think is a watch at this stage. Howes also looked great and I'm excited to see how he progresses and JVR will be taking over from TMac in now time.

Who to cull?
Weid has a two year deal as well, so doubt he is going anywhere unless we trade him.

Membership Tally 2022
That was a it of a joke.... but I think helping people 'dip their toes in' on memberships will lead to more and more people buying the full memberships. We all know the GWS and Gold Coast member numbers are BS and fabricated by the AFL.
-
Membership Tally 2022
Yes, because everyone else does it. Also, best way to start getting more people on full memberships is to start them on 3 games

Farewell Luke Jackson
I hope his manager is also just keeping in mind what happens to almost every player who goes back to Freo. It very rarely ends well.....

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Gold Coast
It was the worst possible commentary team you could have. Dwayne Russell - is incredibly biased towards certain sides and makes up ridiculous sayings thinking he is Dennis Commetti Derm - just rambles constantly and hardly ever makes sense with what he is saying. Healy - is way past it as a commentator

What is wrong with Kayo?
I was watching the cricket last night and it started just randomly going to earlier in the day's play. So frustrating having to keep exit and go to 'watch live'.

CHANGES: Rd 02 vs Gold Coast
Will be interesting to see if Lever or Rivers get up for this game, or if they will give them another week. I saw Rivers is training with the main group today, albeit with his knee heavily strapped. Would rather they ensure they are both cherry ripe before playing them.
-
CHANGES: Rd 02 vs Gold Coast
I've been told 4 weeks but not confirmed by the club yet.

Our next defender
Goody said Lever may be back in round 2, but if not I'd say they will go with: May, Tomlinson, Smith, Hibberd, Bowey, Hunt and Brayshaw/Jordon rotating back there. Amazing to think we still have Petty, Salem, Lever and Rivers to also comeback. That is easily the deepest defence in the comp.

Bevo unleashes on Tom Morris
I see there has now been audio leaked of Tom Morris saying some pretty bad stuff about a colleague...... This whole thing has blown up ridiculously.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Looking at the dogs forward options in detail I can see why we went with Smith. May to Naughton. Lever to Schache. Smith to Hannan. The rest are all smalls and resting mids. English will also go down there at times but then we can send Gawn or Jacko down to mind him. Martin will also rest down there but I would probably rather him be having shots at goal given his kicking....

A Team That’s a Bit Cocky
I actually didn't mind too much what they said. I think guys like Trac and Oliver are cocky because they know how good they are. Michael Jordan was extremely cocky and knew how good he was, but he also worked extremely hard. That's the difference between being cocky and just drifting along with your talent, to being cocky but also a hard worker. Look at the Cats during their dominant period. James Kelly was pretending to be asleep when singing their song that's how cocky they were.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I have no concerns with Jacko leaving atm and I'd say he is weighing up whether to go for a 2/3 year deal or the full 5 year deal. His manager would know that his overall pay packet is more than just the salary he receives from the club. If he wins more flags the players get bonuses, plus the exposure of playing in big finals will bring about great marketing opportunities for him. The other benefit is being in the largest footy state in the country, which furthers his profile.
