I was thinking about apples, and wondering just how much he liked them. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
Uncle Fester replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
I live in country NSW and work weird shifts, so I usually only see the games after the fact, so I don't get the real time experience and I don't get to see the big picture. So, I wonder if my limited observation on this gem is right: it seems that whenever we are on a roll it's this kid that is in the middle of things. Vince, Jones, Cross etc as well of course, but whenever we are on top his name pops up again and again. Thoughts on if I am right on this gut feel? -
Post Match Discussion - Round 12 (never in doubt)
Uncle Fester replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
In all our wins we've played hard tough footy. Even in some of our losses we've done that before we fell back on old habits. I like that we have a bunch of kids that enjoy the tough stuff, and that don't care if they get crunched; they just get up and go again. It makes the rest of the team walk a little taller and back themselves a little more. I like the basics of what I see even if we sometimes lack polish and forget the game plan. Tough is enough for me right now - we can work on the rest. -

I'm not going to play party politics on this. If he has dirty hands then he should swing with the rest of them. -

Delistings/trades at end of the season

Brad Hardie to the Bears rings a bell. They wouldn't kick it near him. But they were a rabble and hardly a football team at that point, so maybe the example falls down. -
I'd trade him out in a heart beat. He takes the occasional spekky, and sometimes even turns it into a goal. If he wants us to get a player or pick for him as he goes and spends the rest of his career in the ACT league then good for him.

Lance? Hello? Are you still here? -
He's a goal kicking mid that gets lots of the ball and shuts down very good opponents. Rank him how you want, but we are very lucky to have him.
-
If we bring the good mindset we'll beat them and beat them comfortably. If we bring the bad one it'll be a dark day for us. If we play in patches then we'll probably lose a close one because we'll gift them goals they didn't deserve even though we'll look the better side for most of the game.

Oh please. I make at least 5 dumber posts than this a week. I'm hurt you haven't noticed.
-
Can we not, please. I don't want his bald mongo head or his anorexic wife near our club. We're suffered enough.

You can't prove that. we shredded everything and burnt all out hard drives. We're innocent. -
There are many more of us than you think. Supporting this team is like doing 10 tours in Nam.

I divide the world into people I won't brake for if they step out in front of my car, and everyone else. Eddie McGuire, Tony Abbott and Adam Goodes fit comfortably into the first category. Most other people are in the second no matter what colour, race or creed they are. There is a third - people that I would gladly chase down the footpath in my V8 and repeatedly run over while laughing like a maniac. Hutchy, Barrett, Caro, Chris Pyne, James Hird, and my boss are the only ones on that list - so far.
-
This whole thread is too deep for me, but please tell me that when he threw the spear into the crowd he killed at least on Carlton supporter. That would make his Australian of the Year title valid.

Collingwood knew that if he could find the ball he was going to run like hell and bomb it as long as he could. And they were ready for it and exploited it. We don't. That's not to say he isn't in our best team, just that the blokes on the other end of the roost will decide how good or bad he will look from it. What he does hasn't changed. PS - A Collingwood supporting friend - and I may have said this here already, so appols if I did - calls him One Speed Harry. I love that name. Sums him up well. And not just when it comes to footy.

That's hugely disingenuous, Chris. A question was asked and a question was answered. And very disappointing that that the best you could come up with a bunch of 'Irish are bomb making terrorists' Hyperbole adds nothing to the discussion.

I'd feel Irish. Which my blood is. Next.

Sad sack of blues, maybe? -
I prefer to call them 'You bloody ripper!' like I would all that wear the red and blue. Of course if they leave then they become 'boo!' My doc says I have a weird form of colour blindness.
