Tomas Bugg Announces Retirement
I quite liked him. Didn't kick straight enough at crucial moments, and well... there was that brain fart, but I think he was serviceable and a little unlucky to be cut from our list.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not the messiah. Just a very naughty boy.

If Ross talks to Gus, I'll fly over there and burn his bloody house down. Ross that is. Not Gus.

Petracca wants to start in the guts.
He thinks fast. You don't need to move fast when you can do that.

Our Tall Forwards
Our best games were when we had a flood of players lining up to kick, or to dish it out to someone in a better spot. I admit I was sad when it became clear that Jesse was going, but when looked at in the cold light of day, we are a better team without him. That is not denying his talent. Just that we always looked to Jesse focused. If he kicked 3.2, then it would mean 5 other times he was double teamed and the ball came straight out, and probably another 5 it was halved. That isn't even counting missed options as the guy with the ball waited for Jesse's lead while others stood unmarked. We play better being unpredictable. And I think that is where the game is heading, And even if it isn't, then I still like seeing us play that way.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Glad I got to watch him in the red and blue, and wish him all the best in the future (except when he plays us... then I want to see duck eggs on the stat sheet).

I miss looking at the scoreboard and seeing: A 1.7 B 2.5 Then going through the record to find out who the hell A & B are.

Then that is their problem. It shouldn't be ours.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Then GTFO. Personally I'd like to see us give Jesse a year at CHB. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work and he goes back to WA. And if Tmac goes down we have a ready made forward to take his spot. Freo is lowballing us. @#$% them. Let them grow their own players, and if they can't then let them pay overs. Same as they do to other teams.

5 and their 1st next year or GTFO. I don't rate May btw, so if that falls over so be it.

Then we wait until next year. In the meantime we lowball GC and see if they bite. If they don't then so be it.

I'm a cheesemaker. No [censored]. That's my job. And boy did I cop it when that fella rolled up to the game with his platter.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I say we tell them to go blow a goat and work on getting into the top end of the draft in other ways. Deals are being done as we wait for these dimwits to play there games.

Most sensible post I've seen in the whole thread.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Thinking the same. Maybe it was a thanks but no thanks meeting after he'd seen and heard everything. Or maybe it is just fugazi from the Purples to stop 24 hours of vitriol on talkback. Maybe it's that the want a 2nd round pick for Neale to keep them in the top end of the draft. What I can guess at that is that if they lose Neale and don't get Hogan then Lyon and a lot of his back up will be looking for new jobs around June. That can only help in our negotiations with them or Jesse

Farewell Jesse Hogan
We want him to commit long term, but if he doesn't then we want full value. That's it and that is all. May can be done with or without Jesse.
