  1. JVR will make it, delivery to him has been horrible and virtually non-existent
  2. Our players are so unaware of opposition at round them it’s baffling
  3. Why THE.FRICK are we losing it in the middle?!!????? Bloooooooody hell Melbourne. Playing the Reserves here, wake up
  4. Sorry Kev! While the invitation from the club to attend training was a very welcome one it was quite ambiguous with very little detail other than what time to be there and that there'd be free coffee and a briefing from the higher-ups. It sounded like it could potentially be a more formal thing with only a few members given the 'invitation' aspect so I didn't even bring my kids (even though they're on school holidays) as I thought they wouldn't be allowed given they aren't 10 year members (literally had my membership card ready if they were going to check!). Maybe silly on my part as it turned out to be a very casual affair and essentially open to anyone who wanted to be there.
  5. Didn't stick around for training but was there for a few words from Kate Roffey and Alan Richardson, left after the squad had been warming up for 20 mins or so. According to Richardson, at this stage it looks like Gawn will be playing this week (was very close last week) but they'll give him a few sessions this week and won't make the call until closer to game day. Richardson sounded less positive about Lever's chances for this week, wasn't a definitive 'no' but basically suggested he's not in Gawn's position of being over the ankle concerns he's got. Sounds like he might need another week. (Keen to hear what training he does). Salem still 4 weeks away at least. Brown was close last week but just been experiencing back soreness. Looked pretty good to me in the warmups (Keen to also hear what training he does). Roffey thanked all members and pushed for all those in attendance to get their Melbourne supporting non-member friends and acquaintances to sign up too, so get on board Demonlanders if you haven't already!
  6. Haven’t seen us play this bad for a while. Can only get better - C’mon DEES!!!!!!!
  7. I tried one of the AI image makers but it completely missed the mark! Had to resort to photoshop
  8. That wasn’t a free kick to Motlop whatsoever. Even Channel 7 didn’t want to show the replay. Non officiating umpire reacted to the Blues fans. Terrible officiating.
  9. It was Spargo (who took one when he didn’t really even need to). https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp9NBEfPr-e/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  10. Often a full clean break is much better than a fractured/messy break, heals better and quicker and less complex. Have had the bad one and it’s not great, wish him all the best.
  11. Looks like they're down at Casey this morning based on an MFC Facebook post
  12. Couldn’t believe it when the invitation came and I saw the date - their priorities are all wrong.
  13. Would normally be in attendance but I’ve got a bloody wedding! Will have to sneak off and get updates via kayo and demonland where possible.
  14. Good listen on Spotify ‘CaseFiles’ - listened to that one recently, wow.
  15. Thanks @grazman brilliant read, have to agree with all you’ve suggested. They are a very interesting ‘watch’.
  16. It was great to get down to see the team train this morning – left feeling very enthused and confident about our year ahead. I don’t think I’ve felt as confident as I do now after departing a training session at this time of the year before, would mainly have a few question marks on certain elements of the team but I think our list is in great shape and we’ve got great balance across the whole squad. On top of that it would seem we’re pretty fit and healthy, long may it continue! Highlights: Sparrow – Appeared to me to have an extra step and is really bursting forward once he gets the ball. Signs of Dangerfield / Petracca about him even more after this mornings showing. Just appeared to have a bit more time and was in the thick of it and was always dynamic with what he was doing once he got hands on the ball. Kossi – He was heavily involved when on the ball in the match sim and even more so in the handball drills. Super dynamic and exciting to watch. Again it felt like he was constantly bursting forward like Sparrow and moving past opposition players. JVR – Looks so hungry and keen to impact. He’s a busy player and constantly moving / chasing when not in possession himself. Very impressed with what I’ve seen so far and no idea how that translates into the year ahead but looks like he could really make his mark on the team. Howes – Looked very comfortable across half back and was quite assured in his decision making. Got a bit of it in the match sim from where I was standing. Pretty tough back line to break into but I reckon he’ll offer something a bit different to the others once he gets in. Trac – As others have mentioned he was everywhere, primed for another big year and looking super fit. Schache – Had a bit of a presence up forward and albeit he wasn’t being closely checked he was certainly getting his hands on it. Feel he could have an impact in tandem with Fritsch if BBB falls off a cliff. 17. Use this one consistently: https://cloudconvert.com
  18. That's an impressive little highlight reel from one game, very positive. Look forward to seeing him on the track.
  19. Brisbane want to play fast but their players are never in position to do so, never quite forward enough making space. and then to make matters worse their disposal is atrocious.
  20. Hey TopCorner same thing happened to me but I refreshed and turns out the order had gone through. Maybe open another browser and see if you can check your account to see if it went through, good luck
  21. I’ve generally been a 10-12 game per year attendee for the last 15 years but since now having 3.5 and 1.5 year old kids it might be a little while until I can attend again consistently. In my absence my folks have been attending with my Membership and have constantly struggled (this year) with the trains - almost every time it’s taken them 1.5hrs to get home to Oakleigh! And they live virtually next to the station. So many factors are having an influence on crowd numbers and that’s on top of all the bad press the AFL is getting for umpiring, ticket prices, waiting times and pricing for food, etc etc.
