Why the hell are the cameras focusing so much on the father of one (two) players for their reaction, constantly? WHO CARES???? Most people watching don’t give a toss - time our broadcasters grow up and move on.

Can’t seem to get away from Jack Riewoldt, why is he always yelling? (Is he even there?)

Not just a ‘government job’ friend, he is head of VECCI who are hosting the World Chambers Congress in September, hence why he can’t just step away and he’d be burning some big bridges if he did - the opposite of what you’d want someone in his position to be doing.

What sort of world do you live in? These highly important roles within businesses have months long termination clauses that employers/employees have to abide by. I’d be more concerned if he was already currently employed and they simply said ‘no worries, you can have him’.

This is what I don’t get! Every player within our team is a good enough field kick to place it within 1-2m of their intended target at a distance of roughly 40m, but when faced with the ‘goal’ they see the face of the goals as the target and accordingly they get it outside of that by 1-2m. It’s all coaching and practice, simply need to grab a bloody designated player and put him in the middle of the goals to kick to - just kick it over his head!

They’re poor because large parts of the ground are in shade most of the time (during footy season). Gosch’s paddock, as an example, is a beautiful deck and receives the elements all year round - plus all types of neighboring civilians using it year round.

I thought it was a really good interview. Certainly spoke very well and handled himself perfectly. He tried as best as he could to keep things light with both Tim and Gaz pressing him on what he was going to do first and you could tell they were wanting to press the 'Caulfield' queries as much as possible. Finally Gaz came out and asked "What is happening with Caulfield? What do you know?" Paul answered straight away "I know as much as you at this point Gaz". Then said he was looking forward to getting into the details and would be meeting people properly in the coming days. Seems weird that the club has let him do all this media and yet they haven't briefed him on anything yet. To me it looks like this has all come out earlier than expected and the club has just had to run with it. Lucky he's handling himself well I think.

Not really sure why there is buzz around LDU from North, maybe had a bad game but I only watched a little and the 4 or 5 instances where he was involved he made a meal of each one. Just looked selfish, but maybe that’s as a result of the losses stacking up and forcing you to think you have to do it yourself.

If all was truly well and happy I dare say we’d still be in the game in most last quarters and be pushing to close down any 3 qtr margins, as I feel that’s what we did in 2021 when behind (will need to check that). Same as Collingwood did in their premiership year. It’s pretty clear that after the players have been pumping the ball inside 50 all day and generally equaling our opponents in that stat, they see the writing on the wall and say ‘what’s the point’ - it’s been this way for 2.5 seasons (if not longer) and the dam wall has broken. It seems inevitable when in this position to know that the other team will score easily against our constant ‘banging our head against the wall’. Most Dees fans have had enough so can we really blame the players?!

@dazzledavey36 Hey Dazzle, might be hard for you to answer but is there a good understanding from the family’s perspective that it’s a two-way street? Clarry is who he is and the club has clearly done a lot right up until a certain point but is everyone laying blame at the feet of the club for how the last 2 years turned out or is there a balanced and realistic perspective? This sort of stuff can fester and multiply if the family don’t have the right story and then I have to spend hours and hours on Demonland worrying about his Mum being a bad influence on his future career (Ref: Luke Jackson).

Incredibly disappointing turn out which was to be expected given the time slot and location. Such a shame when you see the setup all around the oval on those highlights and there’s virtually no one there. They’ve obviously put a lot of energy and time into it. We’ve got a 6 year old and a 4 year old and we’re screaming out for things to do on weekends, why do it on Friday at 3pm?!

Pretty sure I heard that Kingy is back on Friday morning SEN breakfast with Kane and is expected to give his opinion of all the clubs he’s visited during pre season.

Totally understand that Waverley could be seen as an upgrade on our current situation allowing us to bring Admin and the Footy Dept together. But it would really only be a band-aid solution and we’d be in the same position Hawthorn have found themselves in, needing more space and eventually moving further out. IF we can pull Caulfield off we’ll have all the space we need and (finally) our own first class admin / office and training grounds / gyms / rehab areas etc etc all together in the one CLUB. It’s a no-brainer.
