I was watching the close up vision of the punch. he was getting pushed, then he stopped, steadied, looked at Brayshaw and punched his face. So you contend he was going to punch his chest in this round-house/hook motion? it would have hit his shoulder if so. My point overall, is why do we need to straight away feel sorry for Gaff? in the weeks to come maybe we can see his side of things and have some sympathy but at the moment the sympathy should be with Brayshaw and Gaff should cop his punishment - as he is

I don’t feel sorry or sad for Gaff. At least not yet. He smashed a kid in the face for no reason. It was no accident. Whoops I meant to punch your chest? Screw that He looked right at him and lined him up. Don’t care if it was a brain fade or whatever, this will have a big impact on brayshaw life and on his family.

why TF did that tool lie about them playing golf?!? it was a weird thing to say in the first place!
  4. Cannot wait to strike off: No finals since 2006 for the love of all that's holy, this year, please!

    Quick! To Simon Goodwin's house!
  6. you just know Kennedy will be back for the Dees game. Gaff is a massive out though. so much of their attacking play starts with him or goes through him. Put harmes on Shuey. Demand the players lower their eyes and hit up short 30m kicks into the fwd line. no McGovern long bombs.

Trac is hilarious. Every player named him the most annoying haha you can see the love there. We need this type of bonds to be formed so in finals they will go the extra mile for their mates

The hard part is all the grey areas in footy. What do you do to the bloke that knocked Robbie Gray our in that dangerous tackle 2 weeks ago? He took ports best player out of the game Red card? What if Gray came back on in 15 minutes?

I like your confidence. is the first scenario, who would we play first week of finals, pies/hawks?

I do think things will change, i'm just not sure when. I will celebrate making finals when we get there. We are about 70% there at the moment and could easily miss
  11. Will be disapointing but not surprising if Mitchell wins it. he is a very good player but not an out and out star like previous winners (Fyfe/Danger,/Dusty) or like Gawn/oliver. he gets it a lot due to a lack of quality inside mids at hawthorn and imo does not influence games to the extent the others I mention do. itll just show that the umpires notice the amount of touches rather than the impact over a game

like when we were paying $11 to miss the finals before round 23 last year? forgive my pessimism but it is well founded and based on a lifetime of sporting disapointment

this is very unlikely. they need to make up 14%. we only increased by 4% after a 100 pt win

I think it has some merit but only for extreme cases such as Bugg or Gaff. As we cant rely on the umps to see these as they are usually off the ball, I think they can be reviewed and confirmed via video evidence perhaps at the next quarter break. It is also for the safety of the bloke that did the hit. we saw blokes tryin to whack Gaff. no idea why they put him back on tbh

Was terrific to hear the warmth the MFC faithful have for Vanders. Only played a handful of games but I think we all appreciate his hardness and effort. he will take 2-3 weeks to get into form but he could be very useful next week in a tough battle against the Swans. especially with the skipper still out.

Surely it is time for the 'Book your Finals Tickets' letter from the club???
  17. I meant currently/recently Hannan (been injured), Stretch (injured), vandenberg (missed 2 years), Kent (been injured), Bugg (seems he wil be delidted) and Baker (untried)
  18. Looked more of a round side fist to me. But im drunk and only seen distant vision so far. Im not a big fan of the outcome dictating the penalty
  19. Brings good pressure. Composure getting better. Good depth player. We don’t have much HF/wing depth
  20. Wtf was gaff thinking?? The game is over, finals coming - hit a kid?!? need to think seriously before recruiting this bloke. I didn’t it was as bad as buggs. I’d give 4-5 weeks

The swirly wind will reduce accuracy. Maybe only 70pt win given the conditions

I agree. Just wish we would beat these ordinary teams! I’m impatient like the rest of us.
  24. DubDee replied to SFebes's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
When did I say they were scary? just pointing out that we lost to them all. Doesn’t matter about inside 50s or injuries, we need beat the better teams and we haven’t proven anything yet
  25. DubDee replied to SFebes's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
In fairness it’s not really talk, we haven’t beaten much this year. North and Adelaide are our best wins. Couldn’t beat port, Geelong, tigers, hawks, pies
