I mean a 4th rounder is worthless... gets you already retired Eddie Betts or a crocked Sauce OR if you are Hawks, you can someone get a gun number 1 draft pick KPF. admittedly he has done 3 knees but he is worth so much more than that. how do they do it??!? i would draft patton for a 2nd rounder any day of the week

Great deal for us! I hope we take 3 and 8 to the draft. Our best players are 21-25, we need an injection of youth. Add langdon, Tomlinson and 2 gun quick kids and we will look so different next year. next year's draft is weak and also a lot of academy players. We are backing ourselves to be giving Roos pick 12 or higher. LOVE IT!

Hogan was a big loss but he ended up injured again... a full season out of Fritsch, Trac and Melk. and we will look a different team up fwd. those 3 playing together with T Mac and Weed are 3 hard match ups. add in a small pressure fwd and it is not bad. all 3 can mark, kick long goals, can get ground balls, set up play etc. bring on next year! (I love the off season :-))

Good trade period to date. Addressed out most glaring need for run. We were the highest scoring team in 2018 so the scoring power is there we just need to play to a system. Drafting in a small fwd is a must also

Haven’t read through the pages. What is the contract length and money at hawks?? usually they highlight this at mfc and ignore at clubs like hawks

Neither. We snuck into finals as a young team and did well. The wheels fell off this year. Over the last 3 years and into the future we remain a team with a good young talented group. But we still have a ways to go

I agree WB. Media saying the Cats are the winners of the Kelly trade due to two first rounders and 24. but to me getting Kelly and not giving up a pick in top 13 is a steal. Assuming WC finish top 4 it will be 14, 16, 24 for Kelly. I would do that for sure. chance are one of those 3 picks will be a good player and most likely not nearly as good as Kelly Pointy end draft picks are more likely to provide the gun players or at least top 10. I would certainly not swap pick 3 for 14 and 17

Never really heard of him. 192 cms utility. could be good back up for Tomlinson on the wing and cover down back with frosty going. 24yo and 66 games so should be hitting his prime. might be worth a punt

Out of interest would you take pick 22 for Salem?

Thinking about it more I'd be rapt if we got him for pick 22. he finished 5th in their BnF this year and 4th last year. he is one of their best young players about to hit his prime. trying to think of a rough equivalent from our list. maybe Salem or Harmes. would we be happy with pick 22 for one of these guys? probably those two are better than Langdon but you get my point. Freo will rate Ed highly so we should be prepared for that.

he is fairly quick but have you seen him kick? poor skills and not great decision making either. no point adding speed without kicking skills imo

Bit disappointed but not that much as he'll do a hammy in Feb almost guaranteed. if i was him and was wanting to make a move I would chose interstate not 100 metres away. he is a fan favourite so if he screws pies over he will want to be interstate hopefully we made the pies pay him a higher contract to push someone else out!
