I ain't no expert but it seems like its not just the tall backs themselves but rather the set-up and zone. how many times did we see Jetta on a 6 foot 6 bloke! play the zone but the talls have to keep an eye on their man FCS and that is why a smart key back like Lever would solve a lot of problems. the lack of footy IQ in our talls is an issue which is in part down to age/experience (hopefully) who wants patton this week???

Great to see Dion make some significant progress this year. He is built for a young fella, and quick. From reports it sounds like his effort and tackling is great and now he is starting to kick a goal or two. We need a small pressure fwd so it will be great to see how he goes over the preseason With Jones and Vince back, you'd think Maynard is little chance. How did Pedo go or did he not play? selection will be interesting this week for sure

I thought it might be interesting to see how the proposed 17-5 might work in practice as we have all played 17 games. If it happened this year MFC would instantly have no chance at top 4 missing out on the top 6 division on percentage. We'd have to battle for a finals spot sydney and port would be in finals regardless despite being the same points as us the pies and freo lose there very unlikely mathematical chance of making the finals and have a chance to get the number 1 draft pick which they wouldn't deserve. surprised that so many are taking this personally. its just a discussion about the crowd, which was low. I would have thought that a Sat 2pm game, with no rain and with us finally in finals contention would have attracted more people. members attend when then can, but I thought more fans would attend. maybe people are starting to warm to sunday games or twilight? I know I am as I can get stuff done on satdy/family stuff and then attend a later game quoting attendences from other teams not in finals contention isnt really a comparison as there is always a drop off for the poor teams

thanks for the write up Personally my worst day at the Footy I can remember. I was full of optimism at the start of 2013, playing the easy beats of 2012 in round 1 at the G. If they kicked straight it would have been >120 pt loss. The season was finished in round 1. I have never been that gutted during/after a match you should have to put a help line number at the bottom every time you write about this game
