Luke Ablett on what faces the new draftees
Ethan Tremblay replied to Elusive Tunbridge's topic in Melbourne Demons
What a complete load of whiny, pompous shite. They are getting payed to train and play AFL. "..few clubs provide legitimate opportunities for players to pursue other education or employment interests." - The club is paying you to play AFL, just as my employer is paying me to do a job. When I was 18 I joined the defence force, I didn't have a degree or any higher education at that time. I was away for up to 9 months a year and still managed to complete a degree. I'm sure Mr Ablett, while being cosy at home, could have helped himself with his own education. I can't believe a person who was fortunate enough to get payed to play a sport has the nerve to talk about sacrifices. Sacrifices come in many forms, being an AFL player is not one of them. "Most elite footballers, however, will not reach the heights theyd hoped for or attain the career they dreamed of. When their expectations are not met, life can quickly become lonely and disappointing." - At least they got a chance, how about those people who wanted to be a doctor, a pilot or an architect however couldn't afford the education or didn't get high enough grades? I'm sure he still enjoyed attending family and friends birthdays and Christmases. Give a thought for those who miss those things, year in year out. Those people who lost there lives fighting overseas. That's sacrifice, not getting payed to play AFL. -

Who's shearing who's hole?

No, the sites are run by the AFL through Telstra.

The club don't update or run the website. It's all done by the AFL.

Grimes steps down as co-captain
Ethan Tremblay replied to Its Time for Another's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why will he? Being very average speed and having a light frame won't cut it. -

Hopefully he can concentrate on football and regain some form. Next year is crucial for him. -

That most be photoshopped! -
Jolly doesn't surprise me as much as Sellar. I feel a little mean but Sellar nominating is laughable. He wasn't a standout in the WAFL, averaged 17 disposals with South Fremantle.

I probably didn't make my point very clear but I agree with what you say. I do find it funny though Webber that I'm to disregard what I've been told and researched however am to listen to you. Perhaps if I USED more capitals my post will have more credibility..?

Couldn't agree more, good work!

Diets are a funny thing. I don't diet, I just stick to healthy meals and when I feel like it, have a cheat meal. I'm big into the gym and MMA, when I started going to the gym I was a skinny 76kg at 6'2". I tried everything and couldn't put on weight, and if I did it only resulted in a pot belly. Very clean, healthy eating worked for me, poached chicken, brown rice and broccoli. Now 105kg at 10% bf. It's honestly what works for you. A vegetarian diet wouldn't work me,yes you can supplement with whey and other proteins however your body can only process a small amount of that stuff at once and the rest is excreted.

26 and sunny again in Perth...really starting to give me the shits! Looking forward to the training reports. Apologies for my ignorance, when would the new recruits start training? -
1 min to go, why am I nervous watching this??

He's far too light and doesn't appear to have the frame or body type to put on the size.
