Yep, 66.1% kicking efficiency for the season which is above average. Elite in relation to average marks per game for the season.

I read a couple of articles that stated he’d been told he won’t receive a new contract however no mention of him being officially delisted.

It was more of a ‘I hope he didn’t fail his medical, hint hint ?’

Given his history I think two is fair. Unfortunately given where we’re at we have to pay ‘overs’ to attract certain players.

Looks like Frost might end up staying with us then. I reckon Collingwood have offered Elliott two years and us three with an option of a fourth and if Collingwood budge to three years he’ll stay with them.

Reports are that Hawthorn withdrew their offer. Hopefully this didn’t happen because of an issue with his medical (if he even had one).

Posted a while back that we should look at Newnes as a free agent and still think we should. Again, he’d be an upgrade on players we’ve already delisted and ones who are still on the list.

Oh yeh for sure, there’s definitely a pattern of ex-players, coaches and media people being outcast if they’ve been publicly negative about a coach, player or AFL in general. I suppose my point was that he was very positive about certain people and aspects of the club, if he didn’t feel that way he could have been less enthusiastic with his responses without coming across as being negative.

He also didn’t have to say all the positive things he did.

Absolutely, but talking yourself up on radio when you’re an average player isn’t going to maximise your earnings. You just come across as a bit of a tool. Just my opinion. I do wish him well though, just hope he sucks against us.

Definitely wasn’t taken personally. It was just a general comment on the reason why I take the stance I do on Frost just in case other posters see it purely as a dislike or hate of him.

On SEN last week Frost said he was waiting to hear from Melbourne on a ‘fresh deal’. He’d been offered one earlier in the season but rejected it. Tickets-Frost: “Based on my age (26) and the year I’ve had, I imagine there would have been a few phone calls but I don’t know how serious a lot of those phone calls are or aren’t so I’ll just leave that to (manager) Anthony (McConville).”

Good question. I’d think the club had completely lost the plot if we attempted to bring him in.

Hopefully we can get Tomlinson to play the swingman type role if need be and he can provide cover in that instance. He’s coming a fair bit cheaper than what old chicken with his head cut off is asking.

So we should pay ‘overs’ for Frost in case our other backs all have a similar injury riddled season like this season just gone? Because that’s what it’s going to take to re-sign him. Then what happens next season when we have multiple required players we want to extend or re-sign? Frost is not worth potentially losing out on those players or bringing in others via trade. I think the keep Frost camp need to look at the bigger picture.

He’s a Superstar in my mind.

Was he concussed in that clip? Far out. In all seriousness though, poor fella that would suck. I listened to a podcast he spoke on and the voice doesn’t match the look. He came across quite intelligent.

Is that the same Jack Fitzpatrick that played a total of four games for Hawthorn in two seasons before being delisted at 26 years old?
