Serious question. Why would Trac’s manager get involved in issues relating to Trac not being happy with what position he’s playing in?

I had a read of Hawks BF board. They’re not convinced at all. They’re just throwing up trade scenarios, as we do here.

I’m no Jenkins fan but he would have been very handy to have this season. But I believe he’ll die if he walks out of the goal square at Adelaide Oval so it won’t happen.

If it were well and truly stuffed he wouldn’t be playing footy again.

I actually haven’t heard him commentate but when I catch his radio program I do enjoy listening to him. He’s straight down the line and doesn’t dramatise situations ala Hagdorn and others from over here.

He hosts ‘Grandstand’ - a radio program on ABC Radio Perth and commentates games for the same station. He’s also the Senior Coach of North Fremantle.

The AFL’s definition of a tackle is below. I only knew that the initial tackler (as long as the initial tackle falls into the definition of a tackle) is the one one given the stat because I was watching a game one day and there appeared to be many more tackles in it than what the stats stated. When a player stops an opposition player with possession of the ball from getting his kick or handball away in a legal manner, or reduces the effectiveness of the opposition's disposal. The tackler's action must change the course of play.

Players don’t accrue tackle stats if they’re not the first player to tackle the person with the ball. The stat is only given to one player who is obviously the first to lay the tackle. I agree that his tackles are usually ineffective though.

Before injury and being treated like rubbish by Adelaide for not re-signing, Lever was a fantastic defender and would have been up near the best. Quite amazing given his age at the time.

If Hawthorn need cap space and Smith wants to stay in Melbourne I reckon a 3rd round pick would get it done.
