  4. Read the rule, no mention of gentle trips being OK. Edit:- The point is not how gentle it was, the point is did he trip him or not? If he tripped him it is a reportable offence.
  5. So a gentle trip is OK? FMD hypocritical bastards. Edit:- 19.2.2 Specific Offences Any of the following types of conduct is a Reportable Offence: (a) intentionally or carelessly; (i) striking another person; (ii) kicking another person; (iii) kneeing another person; (iv) stomping on another person; (v) Charging another person; (vi) engaging in rough conduct against an opponent which in the circumstances is unreasonable; (vii) bumping or making forceful contact to an opponent from front-on when that Player has their head down over the football; (viii) head-butting an opponent or making contact to an opponent using the head; (ix) eye-gouging an opponent or making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the eye region of an opponent; (x) making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the face of an opponent; (xi) making unreasonable or unnecessary contact with an injured Player; (xii) scratching another person; or (xiii) tripping another person whether by hand, arm, foot or leg; Except if the force was low enough to are err I dunno make up another exception on the run....arr errr...who are they playing arrr errr..... http://s.afl.com.au/staticfile/AFL%20Tenant/AFL/Files/Images/2016%20Laws%20of%20Australian%20Football.pdf
  6. Yes, followed by daylight. Didn't we recruit a tall, strong, athletic defender to replace Frawley? Should give him a go.
  7. Winning flags is what we want, we do what we need to do in order to win flags. Sometimes we will make a bad selection or lose a game, that is ok if in the end we reach the ultimate goal. I WANT FLAGS, multiple flags, I want to be hated by all opposition clubs, I want to be arrogant like Hawthorn supporters, I want to be unhappy when we only win by 10 goals when it could have been 20. So sometimes we will make mistakes, I want that feeling that started in 1954. Seven grand finals in 7 years for Five flags! 10. Not necessarily anti Garland, Jetta must come back in, Port have some tall strong forwards, Garland does not play tall, so Frost comes in.
  11. IN:- Spencer, Jetta, Trengove, Frost Out:- Oliver - (corkie-rest) OMac, Kent, Garland Spencer 1st ruck - Gawn to FF- Hogan CHF
  12. I recommend tackling an arm not the body, and pull it down and back if possible, may cause a few dislocations but will not give a free kick. This is for the duckers of the world. You asked for it. Edit:- I have had a few shoulder dislocations and believe me I would rather a hit to the head any day. (Open to smart comments now...)
  13. I would argue both at their best are better than Hurley, but that is merely my opinion. Could add Daniel Cross. Not to mention Peter Moore and Kelvin Templeton, joking.
  14. So by your logic, if VW sack it's entire management team then that should be the end of the issue with the 800,000 illegal vehicles that they have sold worldwide. The EFC is a legal entity, the management are employees of that entity. The employees have received various forms of punishment but the EFC has only received collateral penalties other than penalties over the governance issues. The legal entity that is the EFC has received no punishment for allowing 34 players to take part in an experimental illegal (WADA) possibly dangerous drug cheating program. That the EFC did not put in place measures to ensure this would not happen indicates the willingness of the club at all levels to win whatever it costs. The EFC has not received any direct punishment since the 34 were found guilty of cheating. Shuffling deck chairs is not punishment. On another note, the AFL should appoint an independent panel to manage the legal payouts to the 34 with no input from any club or the AFL. Players should be paid out regardless current status, playing, retired or at an another club. A matrix should be created, games played, b&f rating, age, contact status in 2012 etc. The EFC should not be made aware of individual payments just the total for all players.
  15. We do not currently have a good forward/second ruck. Frost, Dawes & Pederen are not good enough. Spencer as a forward is not that far behind but is far superior in the ruck. Max get tired and needs help. I think at this point in time Spencer is a better option. Edit: As a forward/second ruck Spencer would put the wind up most sides with his aggression and size, it may force other sides into playing 2 monsters against us. We should try it for a few weeks if only to give Max a break.
  16. Sounds funny but makes sense. I'm spending far too much time on here!

  18. So did $cully.
  19. More reason to play Spencer, The Pedo/Dawes/Frost experiment does not work. Gawn & Spencer has worked, time to give it another try.
  20. Yes. Spencer and Max play. Pedersen (Dawes - Frost) out. Spence offers much more in the ruck, is more aggressive around the ball and as a deep forward must be manned up, allows Hogan to play CHF. Its not like Pedereson-Frost have been on fire as a KPF. Gawn has 7 goals Frost 4 Pedersen 5. 21. Diamond defence of topaz tokenism, good when it works. Apologies to Mr Tilbrook. Beeb we could reverse it and have the forwards rush in. The forward diamond when big Max takes a rest.
