  1. as soon as mclean steps on the park he will be getting that tag in preference to TJ. no doubt at all.
  2. not sure, but prob can get fixtures at sandys website. either sandringham.com.au or in the links section of demonland if im wrong...
  3. i think i'll be doing homework, so i'll have to tune in...thanks for letting us know...
  4. just a point out of interest, sylvia and moloney have both suffered from OP for 2-3 years now. have players at other clubs had this problem (OP) for this amount of time? has our management of it been effective? they both seem to have had pretty severe cases...
  5. so did you change the time at your house? or did you change the time on the server? lol
  6. buy a reserved seat for the amtch and sit with the dees members better seats on level 2 and the club makes some cash...win/win
  7. do you have the ability to change tips demonland im still in there i think. my margin is the best in the comp in my other tips comp, but i just need to pick up a couple this week...
  8. godfrey has shown this year that you can tag and play fair. unfortunately his opponents have had their colours lowered on the day, and have hit back in a crude, cowardly way. hopefully godfrey gets equal protection this week. if he plays on kerr he'll get free kicks, but if plays on judd he wont get anything...not because judd is protected, but because judd wont hit him, he'll just run around him...
  9. sorry i posted in the wrong thread lol but i think godfrey will get kerr, tagging judd is futile...and he could easily get under kerrs skin i think...
  10. who cares what he does? as long as we dont have to hear about collingwood
  11. i agree they are differnet, but CJ has shown high level skills, and a great ability when playing at sandy. is it the pace of the game he struggles with? or does he get played in a different role for the mfc than for sandy?
  12. to be honest, i think danners has been a pretty successful coach, but we could definetly use some fresh ideas at the top. i would take sheedy in a flash, i reckon he would get us to a grand final in a couple of years. we wont get him though, hell be essendon or he'll be gone.
  13. unfortunately yeah!
  14. he posted it early on this week...monday i think...and it said 'we'd be close at 3 quarter time, and then get smashed in the last...
  15. we could be 6 and 8 after that...pity we didnt get up against one of the dogs or port, or both. we could have been 8 and 6 i didnt think we were out of it at 0-5, but we are a long way off yet. WC will be tough this week, and i cant see us winning it...but as long as we give it a red hot crack...
  16. im just playing devils advocate here but sylvia hasnt shown heaps either (except for last week ) does he deserve more time than CJ?
  17. obviously not a fan rhino, thats not a problem. but do you not agree that when he is fit he adds another dimension to our side? do think he can be inspirational at times with his hardness and his tackling? do you think he can be influential in winning games? or do you think that it has all gone past him? i think the mfc have probably done the right thing now. he has 4 weeks to get himself right at sandy. he then has 11 matches to prove his worth to the mfc. if we then recontract him, surely we can set minimum physical requirements if he wants to get paid? if he wants it enough i think he would go close to being one of our most important players. if he doesnt he will be an obvious candidate for delisting at the end of the year. do you think that he has nothing left to offer? or that he couldnt come back from here or after another preseason?
  18. but isnt change as good as a holiday?
  19. vanlo, i think we've had situations like this before, and while i am not sure of the exact rule, so i cant confirm or deny what you said, sandy has a history of only playing the 12 melbourne listed players, even when they could play more. this is prob one of the reasons that they are such a strong team; they are their own team, not a melbourne seconds. unfortunately it could also have an impact on the development of some of our players. two sides to the coin, but i am pretty happy, the winning culture is important...
  20. hey guys im sorry this thread went this way. it wasnt a bruce bashing thread - i love the guy, just wish his kicking was a little better. i can be an yze basher at times, but certainly no bruce basher. obviously my mistake regarding bruces aerobic capacity, isuppose its just not really something ive ever really noticed before. i'll look closer before i post next time ey
  21. no its not. in soccer you can head, chest or even 'back' it in. in fact, a rushed score is a goal as well in socer. in 'foot' ball, you can only score by kicking the ball through. DD has a very valid point...
  22. didnt they say byron is suspended this week, and will be at sandy for the following 4? i know he is in the team, but thats a change of heart isnt it?
  23. thats the conclusion i came too...and that nashers computer clock is out by a further 4 minutes
  24. i just wouldnt have put him in our top 3. he never seems to chase hard, and he doesnt seem to have the run all day capacity that godfrey has. im obviously confusing the ability to run all day with the ability to run hard. he probably spends more time on the ground than many of the others...fair call... with regards to davey, he is definetly anaerobia, ut as we saw last weekend he has the ability to just run around all day...he found himself in the back mid and forward and various times so his aerobic capacity must be pretty good too.
  25. http://www.northshoretimes.com.au/article/...446_sports.html here is an interesting article about him http://www.essendonfc.com.au/northshore2003/news.asp?nid=184 this site says he is playing off a half forward flank... out of interest, from that club along with teddy, mathew long got signed with freo and simon davies with essendon. must be a bit of talent there...
