  1. Jones beside Trengove at the coalface, lol... Nathan Jones is at the coalface, week in - week out, would be good if Trengove could give him a chop out.
  2. Tassie guy is awesome, thanks for the constant reports Tas, much appreciated.
  3. I reckon we'll make the finals as well.
  4. I think that is just Chris Dawes, I've spoke to some fitness staff at Collingwood and they've said he was the same at their club.
  5. Congrats to Jones, about time.
  6. Jones is a lock, 2 years too late, but better than nothing.
  7. Yeah I'm not sold on Goodes either. Even still though, someone has to get Australian of the year.
  8. Freo supporters over at big footy all loved Richie, although I take big footy with a grain of salt - I've never heard a Freo supporter bag Richie.
  9. The feminists whinge that Lingerie football objectifies women, but if women weren't allowed to play this sport - then the feminists would find something else to whinge about. No matter what, they'll always find something to whinge about, if Lingerie football was banned, they'd whinge football is a male dominated sport and all women want is equal opportunity.
  10. No, Freeman is tearing up the track and will have a good first year, he has that body that will allow for it. I think it was expected before he was drafted, if you see him standing next to Salem in the line up - the difference is massive in build. But the difference is also massive in skills, Salem has far better skills and is better in most areas of his games than Freeman. The debate won't die down, it will keep raising it's head, but I'd of taken Salem ahead of Freeman every day of the week
  11. According to a mate of mine, Freeman is tearing up the track down at Collingwood. I'd take Salem over Freeman every day of the week though, skills pay the bills.
  12. Pick we used on Jack Grimes.
  13. Admittedly the Vic Metro games were the only games I seen Watts in. Let's hope this Robert Shaw bloke is on the money, not only with Watts - but also Salem. My younger brother used to always tell me Watts could've made it to high level point guard - basketball. I wonder if that is Roos thinking, point guard/midfielder, bloke who sets up the play.. Roos loves his basketball.
  14. We'll be 3-2 or 4-1. If Roos can get the best out of our list, then we'll have a decent year. It's possible that we can knock up some early wins over St Kilda, GWS, GC and WC (at the G)
  15. Nothing I seen in Watts as a junior suggests he will be a dominate midfielder. Watts has played his best football as a forward - both in juniors and AFL. The thing is, he hasn't had the body and strength to dominate as a forward. He is only 22 years of age, he is still filling out. Fans get too impatient sometimes, especially with quality draft picks.
  16. Yeah, tell him to take it easy and we'll see him in the third round. We should've told Zac Jones the same.
  17. Unfair to compare those above players to Gunston. Gunston has the performances on the board and has been in the system quite a while, he can't be included.
  18. Tasmania has a rich AFL history, they deserved a side - but due to the game being based on money, Tassie don't get a side. The game is just based around money, the draw is uneven and based on profits. I hope GWS fail, all the coin the AFL wasted trying to prop this franchise up, they should've given Tassie a go. It's alright to take the Tasmanians coin when Hawthorn play there. The AFL is a joke. Soccer isn't prospering because it's a great sport, it's prospering because AFL has turned into nothing but a business and the public are looking for anything that remotely resembles a sport - and they've found soccer for the time being. And im drunk, night.
  19. Yeah, what's Cross, 30/31... The media make out that athletes are near finished at that age. Mike Jordan done his best work in his 30's and Carey was of the opinion that he peaked around 28-29, just one year off being over the hill (according to some in the media). The football media should leave their uneducated bias out of it and just report what they see - which was Daniel Cross looking in fine fettle and ready for a big year.
  20. Great picks Cook and Gysberts.
  21. Improvers. Dom Barry - Will be an absolute gun, I'd of taken him top 20 the year he was picked, we got a steal. Jack Watts - The most versatile footballer in the game, will arrive on the scene in 2014. Max Gawn - Bulking up will see that he improves his strength and Gawn will show is the future. Jeremy Howe - Kids with this much talent aren't just jack in the box forwards, will show his wares in the midfield. Sliders. Jamar - Just doesn't have enough desperation and is scared to kick the ball. Bail - I just don't see a spot for him. Pederson - Is just soft, will be down at Casey 3 quarters of the year.
  22. That is AWESOME! The reports on Toumpas are always that he is busting a nut, the kid hasn't been sound for over 2 years, it's going to get hard to downplay the hype soon. Howe is a special player as well, If he can transform his game into the midfield, then he could push into the elite bracket. I just don't see many weaknesses in his game, he could be an elite midfielder, I have no doubt. Good to also see Dom Barry training well, he is by far and away my favorite player on our list, he glides over the surface and was ultra impressive in the international rules - hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys like Thomas and Betts.
  23. We got a good one, I've specked him for the 2014 brownlow.
  24. I have seen some good things from Toumpas, but none that suggest he'll be a star. (Maybe if I'd of had the luxury of watching a handful of SANFL games in 2011 I'd have a different view on that.) But you'd be hard strapped to find a kid who shows star potential - when he shouldn't even be out on the field. Toumpas had double hip surgery, no pre-season and basically came in without any core/weight work. I don't think it's a knock on the kid to say he hasn't shown star potential in his first year, given what he went through. The last time Toumpas got a decent run at it was in 2011 and by all reports he was electric. So I completely sit on the fence in regards to Jimmy and see no need to rush to cut the kid down.
