  1. I think Matt Jones has tried hard, he has shown a bit.
  2. At least wait until J.Viney rolls out before making such a call.
  3. I look fitter than Pedo - and I've been on a 3 month binge.
  4. Seen some positive signs from Trengove and Watts.
  5. Yeah Grimes couldn't turn it over more if he tried. Shocking kick
  6. Jack Watts is carving it. Uses the ball so well.. We just seen what Jack is capable of.
  7. Tom Curren is the biggest [censored] I've seen on a footy field.
  8. Toumpas was completely spent, he is going well the kid.
  9. Roos must be a miracle worker, Dunn looks like a champion.
  10. Toumpas gets penalized for smart play.. That sums up where I think the game is at in 2014.
  11. There are ways to have a stance on the topic without going overboard. Demonland done the right thing, mjt went a bit overboard in the end.
  12. I think Hird has realized that he won't keep his job now - and wants to drag Demetriou down with him. Essendon obviously realize that Demetriou helped them out, so they'd do best to just let it play out. The AFL have already punished Essendon as a club, there is not much Asada will do them. Asada are more interested in individuals and Hird will top their list - at least a life ban.
  13. O'Rourke, Plowman or any other decent prospect from GWS. I think MFC need to take advantage of the GWS situation, Tyson was a good start. If we could manage to snare another player the quality of Tyson - happy days.
  14. I think the actual game itself, it is better than ever. The game needs to be better than ever - in order for the businessman to make money off of it. I'd like to see the game perhaps more even though, more pure. I don't like that the business side of things impacts the fairness of the game. TV rights dictating the draw is just one example of business dictating the game. Sides should play each other once - or twice - and more effort should be put into purifying the game. Business really does need to come second. The style of football is ok atm, but other areas are severely compromised.
  15. Shall Demonland ban everyone who disagrees with you? This isn't big footy.
  16. Do you think players want to come to MFC knowing that if they get injured/ill - we will chew them up and spit them out? The reality of it is, we NEED players to come to our club, more now than ever. It is important we support Clark, just as we supported Jurrah.
  17. Norf are flogs, this idea is ridiculous. The game is about supporters, not about North. Actually the game isn't about supporters, more so just how to make money off them. $7.20 for a pot of beer, lol. How about a protest for everyone to stop exploiting this great game, won't happen.
  18. Yeah, true.. He has a bigger build. But his under 18 form was far superior to both. It is no surprise that Wines is transitioning well. The writing was on the wall in the champs, he was a beast back then - and is a beast now. It is his tackling, aggression, ability to keep his feet and find the football - complete package. As Carey said the other night, I think WInes is a special player, high praise from the King.
  19. Cook was never going to make it, was another wasted quality pick. Gysberts, Strauss and Cook were ridiculous picks at the time, nothing has changed. Clubs don't improve when they draft spuds.
  20. I hope this succession plan is a decade long. It is going to take more than 2-3 years to turn this ship around. If Roos is serious about this, then he'll need to stay for at least 3. I think we are still at rock bottom. GWS and GC have hindered the quality of drafts, but the upside is that we'll get players cheaper. Cameron will command a lot of coin and there will be bidding war for Patton come years end. Players will be easy to entice back home. We should be aiming for Kelly when he is available.
  21. That isn't Clarks fault. Clubs need to do due diligence. If they draft a player - as we have done - then it's on the club to honor their commitment. It ain't on Clark, it is on MFC, and if Clark has any issues at all - or any other MFC for that matter - then the MFC need to do all they can to help. If players walk away, we pay FULL contract, if they want to stay, we do all we can. Cutting loose players when they are down and out - isn't the way to go, I certainly wouldn't support a club that done that and I am sure players looking to come to MFC - wouldn't come to a club if they cut loose players that were down and out. Clark for pick 12 even now rates ahead of any top 20 pick we've drafted in the past 5 years. I understand supporters are frustrated and angry after watching Ollie Wines tear Carlton a new one, but let's not take this out on Mitch Clark.
