Vickery played pretty well in the VFL, so understandably he was in good spirits. But in saying that, I also think VFL is about his level. I think Dustin Martin is the only kid worth his pay check in that side.

Bail and Jetta were excellent today. Bail will just run all day, he is a bit of dark horse is Bail. Could keep improving from here on in.

I watched us play Port, then I watched a little bit of Bris/Carlton and switched it off. Melb Vs Port was a far better game to watch than Bris Vs Carlton. Not sure about this Essendon Vs Tigers game. I don't know if it is the level of footy that has lost my interest - or the amount of cans I've had, could go either way there.

Has the balance, skills and class of great players. Salem is still working into it, touch underdone and will get better. I am one eyed Salem, I think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

If I recall, one incident was assaulting 15 year olds? I could be wrong, but I think I read that he assaulted a 15 year old at a servo or milk bar. Anyway, there is no excuse for it, Jurrah probably picks his places and victims, because I couldn't see Jurrah lasting in a populated area. I used to live in a country town where guys would pick their marks - but they'd never venture into the big smoke, because they couldn't act like that. Nothing I've seen in Liam Jurrah over the years suggests that he is interested in rehabilitating himself.

I am a HUGE Josh Kelly fan, but to say he is 'once in a decade player', based on a game - just ignorance. I think Josh Kelly will be a really good player, but nothing I seen in juniors suggested he'll be any better than Salem. From all reports, Salem and Lewis Taylor were the best of the AIS bunch. On top of that, Salem's form in the TAC cup was miles ahead of both Kelly and Freeman - and anyone else, it is just Salem played sparingly. What killed Salem and the reason we got him where we did, is that he had a poor national championships.

I'd rather Cheney, at least he can hit a target. Actually Cheney looks pretty good by foot these days. Grimes issue isn't just disposal - but also decision making. Toumpas in for Grimes next week.

Yeah, absolutely wrapped hey, so good to watch a competitive, exciting and potentially great side. Roos came in and picked the eyes out of last years draft. Tyson is the most promising kid in the comp, Salem looks like Ooooze - and JKH is just damn right dangerous. VERY exciting football side, but I am one eyed.

Just think, we have Jesse Hogan to come yet. Exciting times. I always get excited about the club (year after year), but this time, I think it's justified.

I agree mate, I was very impressed with Kennedy-Harris today. Spot on about Bail, Pedo and Jetta. Paul Roos working miracles.

I agree, Grimes and Terlich turn it over far too often - McDonald at times as well. We could do with some clean disposal out of the back line, Dunn has been good. I don't think Terlich gets a game next week, not sure about Grimes - both were far below what is required.

No better time for a bump. With Jack Grimes heading for the VFL, it is time to hand the captaincy over the real leader. This will be my last bump for this thread - some will say I shouldn't have even bumped it. Port have made some good sides look rushed this year. I think their pressure, tackling and run is right up there with the best. We did well today, especially given the slow start.

I thought Kennedy-Harris was great today. Spot on about Grimes, doesn't appear up to standard for mine.

Salem will be the best player on our list in 3 years. He has it all, there is a reason why Roos done this trade, I think he wanted Salem at 2.

Shocking Jack Grimes. To my eye, Grimes and Terlich aren't AFL standard. Other than that, we go ok.

Matty Jones underrated, well done.. Love MJ's belief just to take it on.

Bail had Salem in the middle and Frawley on the outside.. A left footer sharp shooter dead in front.. Or a wayward right footer on an angle.. Thankfully Salem just snagged one, well deserved.. Bail, give yourself an uppercut.

We just have to weather out these umps till we win more games. Weaker sides get kicked down upon.

How Terlich gets a game is beyond me.
