  1. Good on Martin, no surprises though, he was our best ruckman when he left.
  2. Petracca or Brayshaw. Ahern looked impressive as well. Any of those players would add a lot to our list.
  3. Machsy wouldn't have to be much chop to better the spuds down at Casey.
  4. Tyson is the obvious one. But I think Salem will end up the best player we've seen in the past 20 years.
  5. We received favorable treatment on the weekend - compared to other matches we've played. It is just a running theme, and the umps can get away with it, so they do it.
  6. I agree in regards to Webb and Anderson. But Smith lacks discipline and apparently has a few question marks over his behavior outside of football. He might be hard at it, but physically - you can see he lacks work ethic. Not a well conditioned kid.
  7. Absolute beast I agree. Be happy to land a kid like that. Richmond, St Kilda, Brisbane and Bullies all screaming out for key position players. So Petracca would be some chance of falling our way.
  8. Lamb was ok, I thought he was better than Goddard. McCartin looked better today than last week. Lucas Webb clearly BOG today though, classy midfielder. I think we go for Webb in the second or third round, depending on FS.
  9. Great news, we'll have this guy for another 3 years. If we cannot improve the club in that time - then we don't deserve to keep him next contract. But hopefully we'll be pushing into the 4 by then and playing finals, I think we will be. Now Hogan is out the road, pressure mounts on Frawley.
  10. On viewing both Toumpas and Stretch in the champs, to my eye - Stretch has FAR better balance and composure. Jimmy looked a touch rushed and awkward, even back then, not a lot has changed. But from assessing the two players, I have no doubt at all that Stretch will be the better player - he already has twice the core of Toumpas. I rated Toumpas between picks 15-25, I rate Stretch between picks 8-15. Based solely on the Nationals though.
  11. Actually we'd be in far worse shape if Collingwood didn't give us the Queens Birthday gate for the past decade. Three quarters of supporters weren't there to watch the red and blue either. As a Dees supporter, Collingwood will be the last club I pot.
  12. "You want to be entrepreneurs, you carry the downside." Eddie clearly trolling on these socialist clowns. Good on him. The AFL cannot have it both ways. They can't dip into the pockets of the rich - then give them Sunday night games. Even my 5 year old son knows that late Sunday games only work in the West. The AFL stuffed up the schedule, well.. Cough up lads, it's called accountability. You want to run the league like a business, well it's time to toe the line.
  13. We won't get a PP. We have Hogan coming in next year - top 3 pick. Toumpas coming in - top 5 pick. Up and coming pick inside the 5-6 range mark. That will be enough to get by and remain somewhat competitive. The poor sides won't get a leg up off the AFL - and I think they should. Throw Bullies, St Kilda, Dees and Bribane all PP's IMO.
  14. Petracca and Brayshaw sound good. Frawley compo and our second rounder - if we don't have to use it on Stretch - for O'Rourke and Plowman.
  15. Frawley is a good defender, as he shown today. He can defend. But he cannot do much else. Average footballer, below average decision maker.
  16. O'Rourke in the bests yesterday for GWS ressies. Greene BOG.
  17. Yeah I agree Chip needs to go. Made some terrible decisions when the heat was on.
  18. Gee this side gives me headaches. Bulldogs are next to useless, we just keep making stupid errors, dumb football.
  19. Same goes for Stef Martin. We can only hope.
  20. Not surprised we are copping a hiding, Kennedy-Harris is the only bloke on that list up to AFL standard. Hopefully Casey doesn't ruin him.
  21. I think he'll go top 3. Be surprised if he didn't.
  22. No one will blame Chip for leaving. Considering the compo we'll receive - we are in a win/win situation.
  23. We'll have to part with our second rounder for Stretch, that is a guarantee, he was up there with O'hearn for the most classy player of the day.
  24. Jetta has been brilliant lately, very serviceable player. Congrats to him on 50 games.
  25. Yes, but they'd need to move Cotchin or lids on for that to happen. Martin should be their only 'untouchable'. I'd move on both Lids and Cotchin, they don't add a lot when needed. They aren't going to take the club to a flag.
