  1. Taylor Adams must be beside himself enjoying all this success at such a successful club!
  2. Even funnier that everyone was calling Essendon finals locks due to their soft run home. Then they lose to the bottom runger! In the words of Bruce, delicious. Yep, will soften the blow of our injury list and Friday night immensely.
  3. I turned off with 8 minutes to go after Martin's goal was disallowed (how the [censored] was that called touched?!) Fantastic to hear they went on to win. Brilliant, brilliant, BRILLIANT news! Finally a result that went our way this weekend!
  4. Overheard Jon Ralph on Fox earlier and he elaborated on Petracca's comments. I believe he said the 4 players were kept appraised on the injury situation as it developed during the West Coast game. But rather than call it a night, they disregarded the messages and partied on. Hard to defend that and certainly not just "a beer or two," as cited by some posters.
  5. Completely different circumstances. There's a 9 day break after the Sydney match, completely different recovery protocol to a 6 day break with interstate travel. The club clearly imposed a no alcohol ban during our successive 6 day break games for the entire list, so as to ensure everyone was available in elite condition if required for seniors. The 4 players in question burned the club, defied the ban, and weren't selected at a time we desperately needed their contributions. They let the entire team down and were rightly punished.
  6. [censored]! Crap result, both teams get points. Would rather Geelong lost.
  7. FFS Port you useless muppets. Go back to goalkicking school!
  8. Very disappointing. Nobody putting their hand up?
  9. Exactly. We're now bringing in the depth players of our depth players. Only a few months ago Gawn went down and our backup ruckman followed him a week later. How is that the recruitment team's fault?
  10. So we can end up like Richmond or Collingwood, with a bunch of mature-age plodders clogging up the list and taking games away from teenagers with greater potential?
  11. Don't blame him. Probably wanted to avoid getting caught in a mob of Melbourne supporters bitching about the loss.
  12. Have you forgotten about where our list was only 3 seasons ago? The improvement couldn't be more dramatic. There's seriously only so many players you can turn over every year, and we've been turning over plenty!
  13. Best available, whoever's left. Very glad we scraped through last week because this could be a tough month while we get our injury list back in order.
  14. Disappointing timing to have his worst game for the year. Just more ammo for those flogs in WA.
  15. This has nothing to do with recruiting! We just can't cover for the loss of both captains, our two best key forwards, our All Australian ruckman (followed immediately by our backup ruckman!), our 2017 leading goalkicker and our silkiest defender. No club in the league could cover an injury crisis like this, barring GWS.
  16. Hard to be critical of the team. We're decimated by injuries and 4 matches with consecutive 6 day breaks, including a trip to the other side of the country? Rubbish fixturing but NOT the reason we lost. You can't replace Jones, Viney, Hogan, Garlett, Salem and Watts with depth, and we're looking at Tyson, Viney and T-Mac possibly joining that list. Hate to get all MFCSS but Carlton next week... [censored].
  17. Injuries are absolutely killing us right now. Typical that only our most promising and important players seem to be dropping like flies on a weekly basis. Typical Melbourne [censored] luck, in a season that looks as close to finals as we've had in a decade.
  18. Geez, seriously, can this club have just ONE week in the media where the focus isn't on something negative? This will be replayed every night for the next 7 days, following the Oliver hit (which the media gleefully decided to label a dive), following the non-issue Instagram post from Bugg...
  19. Frawley got his premiership, so I doubt he'll lose much sleep over it. Howe, on the other hand...
  20. Supposedly Henwood was one of the Tribunal members who got Barry Hall off and found the Essendon drug cheats not guilty. Not hard to see who he takes his orders from. Suffice to say, he isn't going anywhere.
  21. Yep, as above, great outcome. About time the spineless twits at AFLHQ did something proactive about the embarrassing state of the system. It's become patently obvious that different rules are being applied to different people in MRP and Tribunal rulings and enough is enough! Consider me completely unsurprised that Schofield has no case to answer despite the laughable finding last night.
  22. Good to see they're taking their loss well. At the end of the day, we got the last laugh. Judging by all the salty tears, they're really hurt about losing the game in such embarrassing fashion. Makes our win all the more beautiful. Funny how you never hear so much as a whisper from these hypocrites when their ducking and diving specialists milk free kicks a dozen times a game.
