  1. Was going to make a post about that. The fact that every single player, with no exceptions, came over to congratulate him was CLEARLY a direct result of the rubbish they showed for JKHs first goal. Would've been along the lines of "you want to play as a team, then start acting like one."
  2. Yep, was on the telly. Commentators just basically said he was letting a teammate know what he thought of their effort.
  3. Surely it's not that hard. He jogs around aimlessly rather than applying pressure and sprinting to the ball to force turnovers. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what he's doing wrong. It's not a skill deficiency, it's pure laziness.
  4. Frawley fluctuates between great and poor as a forward. Can't be easy to just totally switch your mindset when you've played in defense all your career, but our lack of forward options is still hurting us. Think the Watts midfielder experiment may be over. Shove him deep forward and pray he learns how to mark.
  5. Great to hear. Roos just has an immaculate eye for talent. Cross should easily be able to go until the end of next year and Roos saw that. Can't blame the board though, given some of the ludicrous contracts we've signed over the years that proved duds.Sincerely hope the guy is in for a nice pay rise next season because he plays with more conviction than 90℅ of the players on our list.
  6. Crossy is exactly the guy who has earned the right to spray his teammates. He's shown more in 6 rounds for us than many on our list have shown in their career. Hell, Cross shows more hardness and more thirst for the contest in one game than Watts all season. I guarantee this kind of behavior doesn't go unnoticed in the coaches box. Having him out on the field is really like having a coach playing with the team. Loving it.
  7. Either way, definitely someone we should hold on to as we establish our new culture. I think he feels indebted to us for taking him in when most other clubs passed. Boy it couldn't be further from the truth.. he's fast becoming my favorite player.
  8. Would love to top up with a GWS midfielder and forward this trade period. Even if we give up picks 2 and 3 (still think Brisbane will take the spoon).
  9. Staggered nobody seemed to show up at Casey today. Never been a more perfect opportunity to stand up and announce yourself as worthy player.
  10. Hindsight is a beautiful thing. Doubt they would've done that trade anyway. We need to get in his management's ear and discuss how open our salary cap is now without Clark. Need this kid at the club, he's a gun.
  11. I'm sure there was an interview with either Roos or Cross where they spoke about moving him into coaching or player development once he decides to call it a day.
  12. If Roos can turn Pedo and Dunn into respectable players, I have to believe he can rescue more of the talent we watched wither and rot under Neeld. He might just make something of Strauss, Blease, Jetta, Evans, etc.
  13. 1:54:00 My god, it's quite unnerving the parallels to Roos and Watts on the weekend! "You are a [censored], I'll tell you why. You've got the bloody football game beaten! You come down here, not concentrating! The ball goes out towards the Carlton small man, you stayed back with your man. You could've got to the Carlton small man, but OH NO I'm gonna protect myself! I don't want a bloke going bad, Daryl, but to me, it's probably because you're not switched on properly! Now get over, and try and mind the bloody forward pocket, okay?"
  14. At least Roos and the club will be looking at Port as a case study of how to turn things around, and identifying how to copy the formula.
  15. Was not aware of that, very good of the club then. Nice to see an AFL player repay them in a meaningful way with years of service. Far too many are just in it for the money nowadays.
  16. I'd say just about every Victorian born player wants out of Brisbane!!! I'm hopeful West Coast stay thoroughly average this year, too. Lots of homesick Vic boys over there too (Shuey, Shuey, Shuey!!!)
  17. You should probably actually watch the presser before getting your knickers in a knot!
  18. Nicho was an emergency this week I think, so he'd have to be in the mix for Adelaide.
  19. Well Watts is fit as a fiddle but he jogs the whole game. It's probably a confidence thing, too.
  20. I hope his body keeps going for another few years minimum. Easily the most valuable recruitment we made in the off-season (and given the likes of Tyson, Vince, Salem and JKH, that's saying something).
  21. In case you weren't pay attention, the two pre-seasons before Roos' took over were awful and completely mismanaged the group. They spent almost no time practicing basic skills, instead being exhausted with running drills and time trials. From my eyes, it'll take this season alone just to get us back to where we were pre-Neeld.
  22. I've had a punctured lung before. Nothing too serious, though there's varying levels of "punctured". Mine fixed itself and the doctors weren't at any stage particularly concerned. I kept asking if I needed medication and was assured it heals itself.
  23. Nobody's going to want him, except for a third rounder if we're lucky. He's basically mocked and laughed at by opposition players on the field.
  24. I like the prospects of our side so much more knowing we have Riley, Garland, Hogan, Salem, Kent, Toump and Clisby waiting in the wings.
  25. And the only reason he couldn't keep up with Riewoldt was the corky or two wasn't it?
