  1. M Jones handballs backwards directly to player under pressure. Sandy get a point and we regain possession, then on the kickin we kick it out of bounds on the full. Jesus.
  2. [censored] hopeless. We had an open player standing in the goal square and, while holding possession in our attacking 50, we handball to a player under pressure who gets tackled and forces a ball up.
  3. He sounds like an absolute basket case mentally. Seems pretty clear to me he isn't ready or in the right frame of mind to be playing AFL if one sledge can break him down like this.
  4. Somehow don't think it's hardcopy porn in his drawer!
  5. Wouldn't wish injury on him but don't feel an ounce of sympathy for him. Two other rumours floating around that he was abused by a Collingwood supporter who was ejected, and he got into an altercation with a Geelong official. Seriously, WTF? I'd be sick to death of this guy if I was a Geelong supporter.
  6. If the club WASN'T interested in extending TMac's contract, I'd have grave fears for Roos' sanity.
  7. He's a psychopath off camera. Has had stagehands fired for so much as looking at him wrong. Could care less if he quits. In fact, the sooner he stops influencing the league the better (sadly he has a stranglehold on the AFL with his company now and undoubtedly enjoys huge influence on Gillon).
  8. Never heard of his agent which is probably a bloody good thing!
  9. We're at least another two drafts of mediocre/lower-tier finishes on the ladder away from building a young midfield that can challenge within 4 or 5 years. Depends how well we nail the next two recruitment periods while Roos still has his foot in the door. It only took the Dogs about 3 years of nailed draft picks to be where they are now. Not a single wasted pick.
  10. Not our list, but Jared Polec of the Power is out for at least two months with a stress fracture in his navicular. It isn't just us!!! Best wishes to the kid, great player.
  11. Again, awarded to a player excelling against a pitiful team. Good on him, sure, but I stand by my belief that the players that should be rewarded are the ones that put up incredible performances against actual contenders. Brisbane are a basket case.
  12. After the Boyd deal you'd think a long-term, high 6 figure sum could comfortably be on the table from the club. He could end up our highest paid player within a few years. Though I can just as easily see Hogan's management agreeing to a 3 year extension which will take him through to free agency (assuming the AFLPA get their way and reduce the minimum years of service to 6/7 years.) Does Hogan's first year in the VFL count as one year towards his FA eligibility? If not, his current contract commitment takes him to 4 years.
  13. Desperately need more investment in media presence if that list is any indication.
  14. Not sure if inheriting players from a troubled culture is a recipe for success. Disgruntled players fed up with their undisciplined teammates, however...
  15. Every team we've played has lost the following week. I find that stat quite interesting. Interesting to see what happens with Freo in Round 6! We barely touched them, so probably nothing but a convincing win.
  16. Mackenzie getting a gig over Toumpas last round, then being made sub and not even tagging Fyfe the entire game, is one of the most perplexing decisions made by this coaching regime (It also speaks volumes about where Jimmy is rated by the coach.) What possible purpose did Jordie serve EXCEPT perform a hard tag on Fyfe? He proved, again, his disposal will never be AFL standard (and he should've had fresher legs than anyone else playing at that point!) and adds very little value on the field.
  17. I get the feeling ANB will make it into the firsts before Toumpas or Stretch do.
  18. Great players can have poor games against the best team in the competition. One week ago we were all beaming with positivity. Let's keep this in perspective.
  19. Jesus Port always get charity from the umps. Sick to death of seeing the favouritism shown to other clubs.
  20. Gutted for Saints. Those are the ones you simply can't lose.
  21. You could see the players completely switch off after that Freo goal at the start of the 4th. We peppered point after point for 5 minutes with no reward for our efforts. Then Freo scored far too easily and the team gave up.
  22. Skills in the Q-Clash are beyond deplorable. A player for each team has found a way to kick a behind when running into an open goal square, barely three metres out.
  23. 4-1 for the Doggies and Collingwood... season definitely unravelling differently to what I expected. If GWS get up tonight we're in uncharted territory. Hopefully it eggs on the team, maybe the gap between the best and worst isn't as large as Roosy keeps insisting (personally I hope he stops trotting that line out, it's just an out for the players when they don't perform).
  24. Don't mind dropping the tip for this match if the Doggies get up (nobody tipped against the Swans). Amazing what's transpired with that team. Port-esque.
