  1. Definitely worth a punt. In the new father son system, what happens if no other team bids on him and we want him?
  2. Total 50 50 game this one. Very tempted to tip us and regain my lead in the tipping comp.
  3. Trengove was a huge barometer player for them last year. Didn't their structures fall apart when he was injured in 2014?
  4. Longest toe injury in history.
  5. Roos was ahead of the game last year. Even with a subpar team he knew how to strangle Hinkley's game plan. Unsurprisingly the rest of the competition have caught on this year and Port simply haven't adapted to other teams' strategies. Wines being out appears a huge barometer to them, as Trengove did last year. This will be closer than the pundits think.
  6. Obviously desperate to get some publicity going for GWS now they're winning. The award is clearly a meaningless publicity stunt.
  7. Clubs keep that information very close to their chests apparently, to mask potential injuries or poor form.
  8. Nothing's been announced, but given our track record with rising star nominations, could care less if Hogan remains unrecognised. It just gives him ammunition to prove everyone wrong.
  9. It's a league that turn a blind eye to the rampant use of "recreational" drugs amongst players. The idea of them abandoning WADA and instead controlling their own performance enhancing drugs code is downright laughable, and anyone with two brain cells would see through the transparency of such a manoeuvre.
  10. Is it a coincidence that two of our three wins didn't have Dawes playing? Starting to think not.
  11. Exactly. This was a trend last year, I think our defenders have been taught to setup in such a formation that only allows low percentile set shots for the opposition, hence the high number of behinds against our opponents last year.
  12. Scared to say Riley might not be much better than Bail, but he will at least tackle the hell out of them and put the pressure on going into the final term.
  13. Saints have turned the corner this off season. Was foolish to write them off as needing another 2 wooden spoons before they'd finally get off the bottom. They play with spirit even when the chips are down and the score line looks ominous. Something entirely absent in our team, who just give up the moment they feel the game is unwinnable.
  14. All the young teams looking to be tired after only 8 rounds. The season gave great hope in the first month of being more even, but will end up predictably falling back into the same teams dominating thanks to cherry picking the experienced players every trade season, and leaving the cellar dwellers in a perpetual rebuild cycle.
  15. Kingy seems to be blossoming nicely at this stage. Wonder if he'll get a renewal at the end of the year.
  16. So does that mean they get delisted at season's end? Will probably hinder their list strategy somewhat.
  17. Such a waste. Pathetic. Gotta wonder why he went to Fremantle in the first place, except for money.
  18. The irony of Carlton being gifted so many Friday nights, only to suck so horrendously, is not lost on me. It's made their life an absolute misery being in the spotlight every week instead of being shunted to Sunday afternoon slots like us.
  19. Waiting for the inevitable "put off contract talks" announcement, citing "overcoming his injury before worrying about contracts" as the reasoning. MFCSS.
  20. Gotta love Hawks supporters bleating on about priority picks. Wasn't Roughead a priority pick? It proves the system works. We just... [censored] it up. Horribly.
  21. Why on earth would we go tall against WB? Did nobody in selection look at last week's match when they nearly pinched a game from Freo despite losing by 50 something hit-outs?
  22. A club with terrible list management would be tricked into paying top dollar for him. After all, he's a well known player in the league's worst team. He's lauded for his marking, but we know his deficiencies (which, sadly, innumerably outweigh the pros).
  23. Has anyone involved at the club actually commented on wanting Howe to stay? Obviously the public line last year about Frawley was that we would've loved him to stay (highly unlikely once pick 3 came into the equation), but I don't remember Roos saying anything positive about Howe so far this year.
  24. He's an absolutely atrocious set shot of goal. Couldn't even tell you the last time he kicked truly from a set shot, it's that rare.
