  1. Now why do they have % calculated based on for and against points? Hmmm
  2. So we picked him in the 22 so we could then generate an excuse to not play him when the Pies had Jolly and Fraser so we then had an excuse to rush in Newton.....Nice try.
  3. You have to be kidding! Do you have any idea why White was AA ruckman in 2004???
  4. Yes. Jamar has always played a physical game. As you state PJ does not impact the contest for his size. Jamar was already show signs of what we saw on Saturday in 2008. I recall he repeatedly jumped into Sandilands against Freo and nullified him. He does the body on body work well and is prepared to clear a path in a contest. PJ does neither and as you pointed out his decision making under pressure is poor.
  5. Too early for hubris. Many have been touted for their potential. Its too early to claim they have delivered.
  6. Spencer was a late withdrawal with a hip flexor. Our hand was forced. There was no election to play man on man. We were more accoutable for the opposition. We were aggressive at the contest and the fall of the ball. For some of the game we were playing a loose man back particularly in the 2nd quarter. We tagged Swan We were getting our hands on the ball a little more than the Pies at the contest too. As for my sarcasm if you have ready many of the overheated missiles by aggrieved posters the angst was primarily aimed at Bailey and not both Bailey and the players.
  7. Strawbs was finished by 1989 after 2 good years in 1987 and 1988. I thought Jummy had him covered in 1990/91. Jimmy was sensational in his brownlow year.
  8. More likely correctly assessed. It was overall bog ordinary and he failed to establish any capability to perform or compete consistently at AFL level. He is weak above his shoulders (ruck or marking) and has no physical presence in a pack or contest. Offers little up forward. He has little or no accountability for the other big man around. Its ironic that even Flopsy Fraser tore him apart in the QBW last year. Plays like a 200cm rover. I hoping for better options than PJ asap.
  9. Who said anything about sponsors?? Its all cat and mouse. The public comments were to generate some heat around Ball in case another club wanted him and were prepared to waste an early pick on him. I dont know how you can say we were interested. 1 He refused to talk to us and 2 We did not have a medical on him. Sure we want to speak to him. But when he had refused, we would have had rocks in our head contemplating him any further in the ND.
  10. Played well when required. Has a bit of toe on him too. He did the right thing with the kick in the last quarter. Its just a pity muffed the one where he was running to inside 50 and had Green with the best position to take a good pass. Unfortunately the kick did not capitalise on Green's opportunity.
  11. Agreed he needs suppport. But sadly PJ is not it. Offers nothing in the centre and less up forward. Ultimate fools gold. The sooner we can bring Spencer, Martin or GAWN up to scratch the better.
  12. You forget. Ball send he did not want to come to MFC. Also he had a high price on his head. Did you ever think CC might have been foxing up until to the draft selections...even just a little bit.
  13. A better answer without the preamble to dig a bigger hole.
  14. They seemed to accept the non efforts and buffoonery of Crosswell, Jackson and Keenan at MFC. Time to get off the soapbox. Silly isnt it. Dropping him at this point is not the answer. But he will counselled on it. Its about 99% of it. Courage is committing to the contest. At AFL level there can be no compromises. He has great aerobic capacity and pace but thats not courage. I would like to see him put more pressure on the ball carrier each and every time. Maybe its how many people have played AFL and shirked a contest. If he cant rectify it he wont last in AFL.
  15. You would have to be kidding after the embarrassment dished up against Hawthorn. If they cant take away some real benefits from Saturdays game then they may as well pull up stumps. Their devastation would be about working so hard for something and missing it by a whisker. I feel for all the players they deserved a better outcome. Bollocks...the sensse of relief that they had not been beaten was palpable. They played poorly and still got away with the 4 points. They were all overjoyed all around the Northern Stand. If I was them I would have been rapt too to get out of jail like that.
  16. That will get the opposition clubs dribbling to cough the few remaining draft picks on pure gold. Lets not toss our cookies yet after Rd 2.
  17. No wonder you ask why? Garland compared with Nicho. I cant recall any time in his last 15 games that he played up forward at all. He was bloody good up back. You might have been looking at the wrong half of the ground.
  18. Surely you jest or your easily pleased.
  19. Very good inner demon. Now where is the sarcasm font again?
  20. I saw it live and on Foxtel. You'd have been better claiming he was hit by a seagull. It was a shirk. He wont get dropped this week for it but he would want to rectify this quick smart. There are 15 clubs that are giong to work him over for it
  21. Oops. Thanks Harry. They paid too much and serves them right.
  22. Agree. Collingwood got Ball for nothing in PSD. They got about that value yesterday. Ordinary
  23. News Flash - Top draft pick put under physical pressure by opposition. Lets move on....
