Where the incident is derived from a tackle on a player, they look at it You're slow on the uptake, Moose. Green's incident was a collision injury in the play not a consequence of one players intended or actual action on another player. You might also get an inkling of how things work by the fact they did not review the Jordan Lewis collision. Hmmmm now what does that tell you? How would they know unless they look at it. Ugh!

I cannot fathom why people are so negative - No doubt you cant work it out. If anything people are being realistic without suffering any premature outbreak of hubris. we were brilliant r2 and should have knocked off a top4 side - We were better than round 1 but could not do the finishing work to beat a top 4 sider3 we were well below our best and still took the bikkies over the highly-rated crows- Firstly, we played to our peak but we are a limited team at the moment in a number of areas. Secondly, the Crows werent highly rated at all. They were underdone with many key players having limited pre seasons. They also lost 4 players to injury during the game. all this missing several key players - And Adelaide werent??? we are the youngest side in the comp and the performances of the last 2 weeks have us well ahead of the curve - No we are tracking according to plan- Promising performances mixed with dog awful performances not sure how much convincing people need. Time to back the club and look at us like winners - You're too easily convinced.

Also Cousins and co's behaviour at 3am at a major city hotel was reminiscent of Carlton's and their penalties were worse. And for that matter, Cousins is a spent force and it is likely his off field disposition could be unravelling. Connors is a problem. We were also the awful demons of round 1. Think about it. The same could have been said about Newts a month ago.In fact the same could be said of Newton today. The free kicks were 20-12 in our favour. Burton should have got a free late in the last when he was retarded by JMac. It was a hot one and we were lucky not to be pinged. It could have had a bearing on the game. Yet we still have poster whinging about the frees we did not get. Unbelievable. Any chance there have been some studies on the fact that if you get your hands on the ball first more than the opposition and contest neutral ball decisions that you might just get a better run with the umpires. Some of the rubbish written about umpires on this site is far worse than any of the performances posters are crtical about.

The competition is anything but even and the first 3 rounds confirms it. We are still a good way off the standard of the Top 8. Great win on Sunday. But we really had to climd a mountain to get over an underdone side with only 18 fit men in the last quarter. If we were cleaner with our ball use, had forward target and matured the desire to win...we should have romped away with a 6 to 7 goal final quarter No one questions the desire of the past 2 weeks but the execution and the know how to win is lacking at the moment. Its gets learnt over time. Small steps toward a big future.

Fair points Poseidon. After 5 to 6 years, Newton and Miller have shown they are not up to it. If Martin has show decent form in the VFL then he must be a chance. Newton has done little to suggest he is anymore likely than last year.

Agree. And who is calling for Bennell to be Jonathan Brown? He just needs to go hard when its his turn to go. I glad he played well on Sunday. He has not addressed the issue of timidity but he is a player with a promising set of skills.

Maybe the fact that Adelaide lost Henschell (knee in the 1st qtr). Bock (Hammie) and Dangerfield (neck/shoulder) in the 3rd qtr. And then Tippett ankle in the last might have tipped the scales our way. Despite mistakes we were constantly trying to run the ball as the Crows with no bench started to tire.

Bruce was beaten by Burton and I thought so so today. Experienced players like him need to nail opportunities. Newton tried hard but has done nothing to suggest to me he can make it. Try as he might, Dunn makes basic basic errors and some really stupid decisions. I am not sure he belongs at this level. Jamar and Frawley were magnificent today. Outstanding. Grimes was absolutely superb. Tough as nails and all class. Jones disposal still worries me despite his endeavour. Moloney was just went today IMO. Trengove and Scully will be better for the run.

Garland has two hands in his back. It was there to be paid. Frawley was BOG. Shut Burton down. Garland was serviceable for first game back in over a year.
