  1. A defnder who plays loose and isnt quick gets found out. Its happens with Rivers. And he is another in the leadership group that should go after Davey and Green.
  2. Why do we need another ruckman when we have Jamar, Martin, Gawn, Spencer and Campbell? If there is one area we are flush in is ruckman. Lets trade for something that we actually need. You are really splitting hairs over Rivers and Warnock. Neither are top line defenders. But Warnock gives us nothing over Rivers. Warnock goes and Rivers should be looking over his shoulder at the developed of TMacDonald and Davis. And its patently untrue that at AFL level Warnock gets the best forward when he plays. Last year when Warnock played in the Brisbane game at the MCG, Frawley took Jonathan Brown. If Warnock has tabs for the future its playing on the big giant forwards. He needs to win contests against Cloke, Pods, Dawes and Tippett to survive. He will be burnt by quicker less lumbering opponents
  3. Another case of a D'land poster overrating our own. Very lop sided deals there. Thats right about Ellis. He has been pedestrian at times at VFL level this year. Indeed. Warnock is not a proxy for Frawley Logic - Name the match ups for a player like Warnock. Also Warnock is a one position player
  4. It is indicative of an issue. Our senior squad should be hovering the top dozen for the impact they should be having. Might have been injured...Hmmmm
  5. Cut it out mordja, it was the umpires fault.
  6. Huh. The demotion of Meesen and Newton was a demonstration of clever list management by opening places on the list to more preferred options. What was your problem with that given you called it a "stupid situation"? Classy and thoughtful response. Absolutely spot on.
  7. The repeated whinging about the umpires is indeed boring. They were poor yesterday but MFC were worse. If people really want to focus on the reasons I would have thought our goal kicking for starters was atrocious. Port were a better side than us on the day and were more focussed when it counted. The seasons over. Its more productive to focus on how we improve in 2012 than fester on what we cant change in 2011.
  8. Are you saying your remarks are unimportant? Come now. Can you tell me how your comment about 3AW in anyway reflects the play itself? Double standards. I'll leave the sniping to you. You're good at it.
  9. It certainly typifies Brad Green's year. We made him captain this year to build a leader and in the process have lost a player.
  10. You really think so. Theyre just going with the crowd reaction (biggest at a Port game in 2 years) in a game that does not count for anything this year.
  11. You're issues are closer to home. Blease got subbed for Trengove.
  12. I think Geelong put up one of the most awesome displays of 4 quarter football I have seen in years. WOW. They werent beating a cellar dweller. They did this to the top team by 16 goals. They did it so comprehensively that players like Swan, O'Brien, Pendlebury looked pedestrian. A truly outstanding effort from a club that was apparently gone when Ablett went north. A fantastic performance and wonderful exhibution of Aust Rules football.
  13. Yeah thats the spirit. Lets get him.
  14. LOL Rusty you're a cracker. I'll make it easy for you my Rusted mate. Fevola's antics displayed on and off the field are far greater than any of the players you put forward. You might benefit from travelling through VFL/AFL time. LOL I am not saying anything about them being united on the ground but I think your use of the Geelong game is misleading and does not demonstrate your point. And hey chill man..I know you are not a rocket scientist..LOL.
  15. You know I thought the MFC forward line of years ago including Brent Crosswell and Mark Jackson would be entertaining. It sure was........We didnt win many games with it. I want to build a sustainable robut team including forwardline that can seriously challenge for a flag within the next couple of years. As part of that there are some non negotiables around culture, character and performance which I dont think Fevola qualifies for. I want to be entertained by Club playing consistent winning football not held to ransom by on field misfit show demonstrating severe human frailties. I see no place for Fev in that plan.
  16. I dont think that is the case from the end of this year. So you might want to check that rant. But i agree I hate the gambling messages. I hate all advertising at half time and the breaks. So loud you cant converse with friends.
  17. They always give the Liston to talented rovers. B)
  18. Hall has a temper but is an extremely gifted footballer with strong leadership capabilities. The event you refer to with Hall happened when he was 20 years old. He certainly worked hard to present himself as a capable leader within a strong culture. He was an extremely hard trainer throughout his career. Toward the end of his career he blew with a rush of blood on Brett Staker. He has since performed admirably at the Bulldogs on the back of his fitness regime but eventually his body had given out at 34. On the other hand, Fevola is a perennial socially destructive and immature clown who at 31 may have redemption off the field but his window to do it on the field is limited. He has managed to provide acts of stupidity on and off the field since he was 18. The analogy with Hall is misguided. Mark Jackson is a better equivalent.
  19. Agree with that. I am not sure he will get an AFL gig next year. If any club takes the chance then they need to be brave, wanting to take a risk, are aiming to get a flag in the next 2 years and somehow believe that Fev does that for them. Cant see it happening.
  20. For someone who is on the fringe of football his famous petulance on the field has no place. And none of the above have behaved as immaturely so often and to the detriment of their team as Fevola. Your comparison of Fevola with Dunn's hissyfit is missing the point and extent of the problem. I cant think of another player who has so often directly ignored or disobeyed a coach's instruction on the field. None of the above are anywhere near Fevola. The only comparison was that village idiot Mark Jackson. I agree with you that MFC wont take him. Its laughable that there are those that want to. The comment would apply to Fev's malignant influence at two united clubs like Brisbane and Carlton. And given MFC are young playing group then it just makes the selection of Fevola with all his baggage all the more laughable. Thats the joke. BTW, the result of the Geelong is an indication of other issues beside a united playing group.
  21. If true, then Wallis is an absolute fool of the highest order. How could he have been that stupid? Sports players and officials betting on their sport is a serious problem regardless of whether it is advertised or promoted by the Code. The AFL however should be doing all it can to prevent these issues happening then naming shaming and penalising those involved. Nothwithstanding that I absolutely despise the TAB Sportsbet ads on the TV Footy. I hate the odds given on the scoreboard. I cant stand any reference to betting during the game. Its as positive a message as promoting smoking.
  22. Took the sentence on its own..Out of context apologies. Agree with the rest of your post.
  23. Its easier when you have experienced capable bodies around you and your side contains at least three proven stars in Hodge, Rioli and Franklin. Cheney should look better. I agree with letting him go. I dont think he is more than a stop gap for them.
  24. Indeed. His value for MFC is on the trade table.
  25. Its a lose lose for the Club. Did you not see the pain Carlton and Brisbane went through trying to enforce a behaviour clause in the contracts. Its a legal and PR nightmare if we ever had to enact such a clause. Its likely that Footy media will link Fev with every club that does not categorically rule him out. And anyone that does that in the media risks being seen as mean spirited toward someone who is trying to redeem himself. Freo is just the first. I spoke to an AFL assistant coach at another club who I have known for a number of years. They have need for a KPF. His view about Fev is that given what they know they would not touch him with a barge pole. And given its Fev its not possible to assess the football value alone because the rest of his life issues are so critical to that assessment He was a terrible fit in Queensland. Its not the town that is the issue. Its the indvidual.
