Questions From Afar.
Please forgive my ignorance, but living over here there are some things I don't understand. 1. Why don't the selectors pick Adam Tomlinson. Seems he is the most hardly done by player we've had for years. 2. What's happened to socks? We've gone from the red legs to the hairy legs! When did shin pads die! You can hardly see the red these days. 3. How does the utility work in Fantasy Football? 4.When can we get a list replacement for Angus Brayshaw? Thanks in anticipation.

Biggest rivalry?
Definite antipathy towards us (and the dogs) from St. Kilda after we both broke our Premiership droughts, leaving them .......well... ....nowhere.

Biggest rivalry?
Tasmania Build a rivalry with them and claim it. It can be a Demons v Devils thing. I don't think we will be in the sights of the bigger (but not better) Victorian clubs, except when both teams are doing well. So lets start a new one.

Suburban AFL map
C!early where I live in Yorkshire is a Demon heartland. I am the only person in this area who follows AFL and I support Melbourne. Therefore it has 100% Demon support. You know it makes sense.

Overseas Dees - How are you watching the finals?
For those of us in the UK it's either Watch AFL or the BT sports channel. There will be plenty of pubs in the cities who will screen it for the games that are on during opening hours. Early kick offs Australian time will be problematic. I live in the countryside so I'll be watching from behind the sofa at home until we get ten goals in front.

Is Bayley Fritsch the best mid sized forward?
Talking of decoy forwards, my father used to say that Alan Rowarth did that job superbly for Big Bob Johnson many years ago. Big Bob was a star for Melbourne and Oakleigh. An enormous character, he deserves a thread of his own

Carlton Draft: Nathan Jones at Port Arlington
Thank you for the explanation. Sounds a really good idea.

Carlton Draft: Nathan Jones at Port Arlington
From over here I don't understand what this is all about and how it works. Could someone explain it to me? I would appreciate your help. From the little I know it sounds like a great connection between elite players and the grassroots game. As someone who played suburban football many years ago the idea of playing with or against a player like Nathan Jones would be amazing.

Team Selection - is it ever based on matchups
As I remember, Ted was in the Tom Bugg mould. John was much bigger and a key position player. He showed potential. I'm not sure about Essendon connections.

Team Selection - is it ever based on matchups
Oh, memories of Ted and brother John. There was one game against Richmond when the fight went on for so long that they turned the MCG screen off. Ted did angry very well indeed.

This will, I desperately hope, will be opened in celebration at a late lunch today.(British Summer Time). It was brought over to me by a great Melbourne supporting friend about 20 years ago. Us Demonlanders have quite a cellar.

Throwing the Ball
The only player that ever seemed to get penalised for this infringement was Clayton Oliver and I thought that was because he can handball so quickly that the umpires didn't believe it could possibly be legal. I agree that others totally get away with it.

Will you be satisfied with the Season of 2021 even if we lose the Preliminary Final
Short term No. Long term Yes.

Geelong request change of venue
I hate the thought of agreeing with Geelong, it's a bit like agreeing with Nigel Farage. However, trying to take all bias out of it, why can't they play their game at home when there are no crowd capacity issues? Why don't Richmond have to play there like we do? Am I missing something from over here?
-
Geelong request change of venue
We are sent down there to play every single season. All other teams should have their turn as well. No matter if it is a capacity crowd, a small crowd or no crowd at all.
