I think it is clear the team is being picked with a view to next year and that's why the priority is to get games into O Mac, Frost, Hunt etc. Obviously Grimes and Dunn are gone. Can't argue with that thinking

After a few days of somber reflection my answer to the question is - yes we bloody should be disappointed. It was a bad loss and shouldn't be sugar coated.

To be fair our supporter base has been criticised in the past for being too accepting and passive. I have no doubt about the coaching or the recruiting however there is no hiding the fact that Saturday was a substandard performance and too many players went AWOL. Supporters are entitled to vent. It also raises concern that the team still has a soft underbelly and this needs to be addressed.

Maybe 10 years without a final appearance has something to do with it. Our rate of progress seems glacially slow compared to other sides e.g. Bulldogs, Carlton etc. Supporters have a right to be frustrated when substandard performances like Sunday occur - no excuse for being beaten by almost 8 goals.

Kent must be held to account for his game - 43% disposal efficiency and many crucial turnovers. I also think Jeff Garlett gets off easy for his poor games. He seems to be one week on, one week off. 9 disposals is not acceptable.

Dean is a lazy Kent. I counted 4 occasions in the first half when under no pressure he kicked it to the opposition. Not good enough - needs to correct his attitude at Casey.

A bit sick of Roos saying that he got selection wrong. That's a few times now and it is wearing thin. Selection is an issue and they need to get it right.

Today's game blows the theory that we don't need Prestia out of the water.
