Me too. I didn't like him in his playing days, but i'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's "grown up". Unfortunately, my gut feeling is that he will never coach. the question "will WADA go after the coaches" has always been plural. I can't help but think that the answer will be "yes".

you were doing so well earlier in the thread, and now this? i really don't get it? this comment is harsh and needless. why? we really need a dislike button.

I thought Watts' work as 3rd man up during the year was very good. Got me thinking that he could be the answer to the teams need for a second ruck forward. A pre-season wrestlng with Spencil wouldn't do him any harm either.

actually, the AFL has already overtaken teh EPL.

Straight swap - Howe for Toby Greene
wretched.sylph replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Greene absolutely fails the "no dikk'eds" rule. -
Bennell is (arguably, admittedly) the most over-rated player in the comp. Good gods i hope we don't end up with this guy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
wretched.sylph replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Melksham is a hard-working mid with a bit of speed who can play forward. It's really not that hard to see why the club would be interested in him. -
2015 Player Review - 13 Jordie McKenzie
wretched.sylph replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
my favourite player. -
Dunn said after his last contract that he will be a one-club player and is very happy about that. He is signed up for the next 2 seasons, which takes him to 30.

Will the Big Russian get a farewell game?
wretched.sylph replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
For a rebuilding club which has deemed it necessary to apologise for its poor treatment of older players (James McDonald), and is trying to put those bad old years where they belong, this should not even be a subject for debate. Jamar has earned the right to be treated with respect, and we need to show him that.- 85 replies

I second that. and third that. bluddy mynas,,, -
Yeah... except for the bits which are all wrong. His eyes/head dart around because he is looking for a target, did that really not occur to you? He is a great kick. He's not scared of the ball or contest, he's scared of facucking up -- and that is just confidence, which is the result of those 10 bad years, not the cause of them. He was recruited as an outside mid, as has been stated a bajillion times. If our non-Jones inside players can ever manage double digits in effective disposals then, and only then, will we be able to judge Toump fairly.

Post Match Discussion, Pontification and Prayer

Shouldn't have dropped Watts... who gets the blame now? -
Yeah. Confidence==0. I really believed 3-figure crushings were behind us. 2015 looking very very shaky.

Dawes has got to go. Pedersen is miles ahead of him.

Jones (M) was okay. Would rather drop Tyson.

No. You are not alone. I think Riley should play every game.

This. Bailey was an innovator. Boards don't like innovation, the prefer the safer immitation option to taking a risk and possibly failing.

Apparently our own Mr. Roos said on radio this morning that "the 'g may have been a factor". I didn't hear it myself, so i'm not sure what was actually said.

I remap my keyboard. Underscore goes to Shift+[space] and em-dash to Shift+[hyphen] (amongst other changes). I do this because i use em-dash quite a bit in my work (writing), and underscore quite a lot because i am an old-school debian/linux user. Rather peculiar that my em-dashes have recieved so much attention.
