Daisy Pearce just won the inaugural woman's VFL B&F. This goes alongside her VWFL B&Fs from 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. So in the last 8 years she's been the best player in Victoria (and probably Australia as we have the stronger league) 7 times. Absolute champion

I'm the runner for my partner's footy team, girls have their first praccy match of the year in Aspendale tomorrow. More than half the team are newbies who's names and number I don't recognise and I'm unfit as all hell. Reckon the coach will have had enough of me by the end of the game!

I think our telly is a 37" so not too massive. Yeah it'll never be awesome as I think I read somewhere the maximum the footy is allowed to be streamed is 640x480, another demand by foxtel I assume. The sound is cast to the telly as well. If you want to give it a try the nab cup is free on the app if you sign up. You can mirror what is on your Android phone through the chromecast if your Android version is over 4.1 I think (Jellybean). You download the chromecast app, open it, click on the 3 horizontal lines icon in the top left, and click "Cast Screen" What is on your phone will then show up on the telly if you have it on the correct hdmi input. So then just open the AFL app and play the game and it should be right to go. I do it all the time, quality isn't amazing but definitely watchable

Maybe for you it's a novelty but it isn't to the close to 300,000 women playing footy at the moment. There's national comps for women's basketball, netball, soccer, cricket and probably more so why not footy?

Just been to the VWFL awards night (Brownlow) and Daisy just capped off an amazing season taking home the medal. Not a bad year, winning the Dees Vs Dogs games, winning the MFC B&F, a premiership and now the league B&F. She just passed Debbie Lee as the most awarded player in the VWFL after winning a record breaking 6th league medal (in the past 7 years!) Absolute legend, fantastic role model and great asset to the MFC. Well done Daisy
