  1. Shame, but look across the squad and who would you leave out..?
  2. A win is a win is a win... It's ridiculous to include the Brisbane game in a case against Roos.
  3. Particularly if offered a similar deal to Buddy. The whole loyalty thing is bollocks in my eyes. It's their job and they have a short window to make it pay.
  4. I think you underestimate the Swans culture and the respect his teammates have for him.
  5. I'm not going to reveal what it is, but it is an issue that the club knew about when they signed him. He has been upfront and it shouldn't impact him on an extended basis over the remainder of his career. It's not drugs. Believe me or don't believe me, up to you. But its a quality source.
  6. Or Adelaide.. what a story that would be! With big Tex to kick a bag in the granny.
  7. Not a single vote for Riley?? Gee whiz, I'd say he can feel a bit slighted. Haven't had the opportunity to watch any games but he must've broken a few car windshields with his kicking this year.
  8. Well there goes that theory, thought I was very clever!
  9. Not sure, but it was a thought I had this morning...
  10. They want to give him an opportunity to dominate for casey in big finals games???
  11. I have no idea why some of you people even bother.. Just don't come then, the club doesn't want you there.
  12. Sad if it ended because of concussion, but otherwise agree with you 100%. Some of the crap he was talking on his way out last year was ridiculous.
  13. Pretty sure that comes under the 'comment' umbrella... EDIT: And I'll add that I have never denigrated joeboy for his efforts and have in the past thanked him for them, despite my oft disagreement.
  14. I think its entirely possible. Big sleeper is Sydney, I'd written them off a few weeks ago.. but now... It looks like they'll play Freo in the Qualifying, that's a game they can definitely win. The flag opens up for them then.. Hawthorn are no certainty against West Coast and if they get dusted who knows what the Dogs or Adelaide can achieve. Going to be a ripping finals series.
  15. Was West Coast, now I have no idea. Could be almost any in the top 8... except for the Roos.
  16. Often doesn't seem to matter though does it unfortunately? Was surprised that Prestia allegedly turned our advances away. If I was playing at another club and had the opportunity to join the Dees I would like to think I'd do it in a heartbeat!
  17. Then walk away mate, why do it to yourself? In answer to your earlier 'unbelievable' criticism, I wasn't trying to provide a summary. My comment was in response to another. The first quarter effort was clearly there to anyone who watched objectively. Inside 50's were there as well but we couldn't convert, the last kick was a failure. It wasn't an avalanche of goals, it was a steady quarter by Freo built on sustained pressure. We just couldn't convert our own pressure. The first 10 minutes of the second quarter was obviously not good enough, but to arrest the slide midway through the quarter and to kick 4 of our own was a good effort. The result on the weekend was a fair representation of where we are at from a talent and development perspective. I know that, so I walk away from that game relatively positive and hope to see further improvement next year. 2 years ago is still very fresh in my mind, so I can see the improvement. It's a shame that so many others can't. EDIT: I might add that the final line in your comment above is the pathetic one, and is not reflective of a true 'supporter'.
  18. Be that as it may, when only given three words how about using all three to laud the effort of that player rather than using it as further opportunity to lay in to the rest of the team. It reveals an inherent negativity. Re Viney, while he obviously has flaws, his performance was overall very positive. How about "head over ball" or "strong all day" or "so much heart".. I could go on.
  19. I'm not patting them on the back for the result, the result was disappointing, as all the recent results are. However I choose to see the game with perspective. The effort was absolutely there, the talent was not. So when we went forward and most other teams would've been able to hit a target, we didn't, and the ball shot back the other way. The coach can't manufacture talent, he has to work with what he's got. We were far from disgraced.
  20. T McDonald definitely flashed his flaws yesterday, he just needs to keep working. I don't want him to stop running or stop trying to hit targets.. he just needs to keep working.
  21. That would've been a ripping goal, so close. His other effort was a fair kick too!
  22. Think you and I were channeling eachother while writing dazzle...
  23. Wow maybe I'm the negative one after this being my third negative post this morning, only, my rants are against demonland. How many times have we heard of him being knocked out going back with the flight or putting his head over the ball his year? Is that the kind of beahviour we've been asking for? What's more, he's still young. Had a couple of quality games this year and will only grow more comfortable in tight situations with experience. DL is so quick to criticize the club for not developing players properly, but as soon as the club commits itself to developing someone properly you rip in for making poor decisions. Crikey.
