Has Lawrence been training with the forward group? I think I heard that he had some 'attitude issues' last season: hopefully our new 'no prisoners' coaching panel will help him get his mindset right. He is reputed to otherwise be the real deal.

We really shouldn't be looking for a replacement for fevola in the casey ones. We have a number of key position players on our list now which require grooming as a KPF. I rekon we need to play fitzpatrick and cook as FF and CHF in the ones to further their development as KPFs. Fevola really limited their chances to kick big bags and play consistent football to improve.

If you think a guy could be taken on someone's primary list next year its a pretty good reason to rookie list them this year in a crappy draft. We've got 4 rookie picks, if we think this guy can play we should take him no matter how long it will take him to adapt.In reality the EFL probably isn't too far off the VAFA and Tassie league we took Nicholson and Howe from last year.

By singling out four individual players at the club, pinpointing perceived deficiencies in the way they play and linking them by their race, Barry Dawson is guilty of racial sterotyping of the worst order. It's offensive and unacceptable anywhere. In the normal course, I would discuss a sanction against Barry Dawson with the other mods which would involve at the very least, the removal of his posts (which are an embarrassment to me and to the site), but I thought it might be better to retain them as an example of the sheer ignorance that racist talk entails. But Jones has developed every year and what is he now 23-25 he is prepared to put in the hard yards, who was Dane Swan 3 - 4 years ago, Trengove is all class and will be a 10-15 year player, Gysberts is still a kid, Mckenzie had no pre season last year but great work ethic, Viney is to come, Grimes, Tappy, Blease are talked about to come into the midfield, I have said it for the last 18 months this team is the team around 86-87 all over at some stage they will click, I don't know when that will be but I look forward to the day, so I wouldn't be to quick to right this midfield off as never being any use!
