Grimes Injury

Kit Walker

When he was drafted I thought it was stress fractures in his back. Later reported that he possibly had a groin injury.

Now (in the H-S McNamee story) it says he is out with shin splints.

Anyone have any idea what is actually wrong with the poor kid?

if that happens do u think they will elevate valenti, im hearing he is the rookie thats in line to be elevated first

Being that Bailey has said he is looking forward to seeing his forwards this year, for example Neitz, Newton, Robbo and Woenamirri countless times.

Id say Woena is a better chance.

We have enough in and under midfielders right now.

I actually ran into Grimes and Spencer at the footy on Sunday in line for a pie. The boys were both buying water, and Spencer was busy studying the nutrition info on the back of a packet of Natural Confection lollies.... :)

I asked Grimes how he was, and what his injury was. He replied that he had a groin injury over summer, and has only recently gotten that right, just to find that his shin splints are acting up when he finally gets to have a run.

The boys were very polite, and both expressed disappointment at the way the game was going. They said that it was obviously difficult to implement the new game plan when under so much pressure from Hawthorn.

On a positive side, Spencer is a very tall boy, and once he gets some meat on his bones should make for a very good ruckman!

Correction. It will make him tall with some weight. The ruckman issue is a separate matter and no certainty.

Thanks for the comments on Grimes. There is definitely a position or five for him when he returns.

Appreciate that. Thanks

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
