In Canberra it's Belconnen - They have Port Adelaide Colours - a Collingwood emblem (and mentality) and sing the Hawthorn song - now that's a team you can hate!

It has to be -

1. Essendon - their supporters are just soooo arrogant

2. Geelong - they are nearly as bad and the media hype about some of their players irritates me

3. Hawthorn - fancy having Kennett as president!

4. Any interstate team - hate 'em all!

5. The rest!

Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Hawthorn and Richmond in a dead heat with the emphasis on dead.

I've never been to Perth or Adelaide to watch an MFC game, I suspect if I had the team involved would vault into the list.

Been to Adelaide. They are worse than Collingwood supporters. We had security to take us to the toilets during the breaks, and friends of mine had their hubcaps stolen and tyres let down during the game.

Haven't seen WC over there, but I saw the final when we played Freo. They weren't that ferral, but they were absolutely deafening, even after we kicked a goal. At the MCG you'd be lucky to hear 5,000 chanting "Melbourne" after a goal, over there you had 40,000 chanting "Freeeeo" everytime they kicked one!

They are pretty feral, that's for sure.

That we have to be escorted by police/security because we are opposition supporters, is pretty bad. I couldn't believe it was happening the first time I was there for a game, but you get used to it (and the abuse) fairly quickly.

Also had the 'pleasure' of sitting in the Port Adelaide cheer (read: feral) squad on the night we lost to them by a couple of points (2004?), and I nearly got beaten up... they show no mercy even on females!:lol:

Hmm.. Lets see.... In order of distaste:

1. Essendon (For everything they are, stand for and their supporters)

2. Collingwood (Didak and Rocca both play there.... and Tarrant used to)

3. Fremantle (Bunch of whingers)

4. Richmond (Purely for the supporters - So quick and keen to rag out there own, spit etc)

5. Port Adelaide (For being bad winners - That whole Chocco Williams tie choking incident was an embarrassment to their club)

Collingwood

Bulldogs

Geelong

Essendon

Carlton

Carlton For Being Filthy Lousy Cheats all my life

Collingwood Because Dad Told me to Hate them Years ago

Hawthorn for their Colours and Dominance of the Eighties YEAR AFTER YEAR-President Jeffrey

Adelaide-1998-We beat those bastards by 10 goals in September, and for just being the Crows

West Coast-Arrogant Cheats-I think they are in Trouble for a few years, just got that feeling

Go Demons 2008

Richmond

Over a long period of time, I have developed a loathing for those sides that a few Johnny come lately interstaters cannot yet transcend.

P.S. I have never been to Football Park and am not planning to go either.

Essendon - Anybody that has had a conversation about football with an Essendon supporter knows why.

Collingwood - Nobody is bigger than the AFL even if they act like it.

Carlton - Cheats, but what do you expect when your administration usually contains a criminal.

Richmond - Because their feral drunk supporters in the Ponsford stand scared me when I was a kid.

Geelong - Because I always get stuck in traffic there when I'm trying to get to the beach.

the hardest thing about thsi is not deciding who i hate...but who i hate the most to rank number 1

but here i go

THE SCUM (bombers)

THE FILTH (pies)

THE DORKS

THE FERALS (tiges)

THE SAINTS

1. Carlton - Can't stand the way they are eventually going to become a force again.

2. Richmond - Used to be No 1, but just bumped off top spot by Carlscum.

3. Port Adelaide - Will probably change once Mark Williams isn't coaching them.

4. Collingwood - Sort of admire them a bit, but Eddie makes me hate them.

5. Kangaroos - Take your so-called "shinboner spirit" and jam it.

For what its worth.......

Collingwood

very closely followed by Carlton

Essendon

Fremantle

and Port Adelaide.

But the last two are always subject to change ;) !!!

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
