Just some more info about this event. The Ballarat Demons are a supporters group, who currently sponser Jace Bode, and run events such as this, as well as transport to the home games.

This event has come out of the group wanting to actually help the club out, so a meeting was arranged with Steve Harris and Chris Connoly, who both were very excited about the idea, and bent over backwards to help out, as can be seen by the list of big names who will be in attendance.

Ballarat is also the home town of James MacDonald and James Frawley, and was the home club for our new recruit Kyle Cheney.

This event will not only be a great way to support the club, but a chance to have a talk to the new coach, the new football manager and the players, and find out the latest news and gossip!

Tickets are selling fast, so get in quick.

Also wondering if someone might be able to post this on 'Ology for me, as while it's being rebuilt I cant create a profile on there, and the more exposure the better!

Players confirmed to be at the event are 2006 / 2007 Best & Fairest winner, and local Ballarat boy James MacDonald, fellow local James Frawley, close enough to be local new recruit Kyle Cheney and Ballarat Demons sponsored player Jace Bode.

Tickets are selling fast, and with such a limited number it is a wise idea to get in soon. This is a great event to attend, with a chance to get up close and personal with the new coach, the heads of our club etc. The price for this event does not fully represent the value of these opportunity, where else will you be able to meet and great the staff in the midst of the pre-season training and find out all of the goss and going ons for the year, for only $40?

And just to remind you, all of the proceeds for this event go directly to the club. Not the Ballarat Demons, but straight to the MelbourneFC.

Once again I also ask if someone may post this on 'Ology as well, thanks for the help and support guys!

Well it's coming up quickly, so another quick update.....

Tickets are selling well, but could be better. Don't forget this is your chance to get up close and personal with not just the players, but with the coaching team. Ask Dean Bailey where Miller will be playing, how the new leadership group came to be etc. Ask Chris Connolly what is planned for our 150th etc

Colin Sylvia made mention that he wanted to attend the event, along with Issac Weetra. Take note here, not said he will go, but said he wanted to go.

This is an unpreceidented event, and lets face it is only an hours drive from Melbourne. So show your support, stand up, be counted, and take advantage of everything being put on offer here.

And again, to really drill it home, all money directly going to the Melbourne FC!

And as per usual, can someone place on 'Ology. Thanks.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
