I figure that Paul Johnson at perfect fitness is almost as good as White though at times pathetic. He is a much better player than Jamar but Jamar has great mark. I think Jamar might go to Sydney which enables the chance to gain Jolly. :o

Jamar to go home to SA. I dont think Johnson will cut it either. Pick up Meesen for Jamar would be good swap (we throw in late draft pick maybe?). Adelaide will be surely looking for back up ruckman after losing 2.

If we can't get anything for him, he needs to be cut. Simple. I would take anything I could get for him, including nothing. He is built like a monolith, but unfortunately he also moves, thinks, and kicks like a monolith.

Well said - there is nothing left to say.

KEEP PJ. Get that in your heads....he is so much better than Jamar. No reason why we can't play Meesen if he plays for us and PJ and White

White will probably suffer more this year from having to play so much gametime in games over the past few years due to the lack of development of our big men

Posted

im right with you jamar is rubbish compared to pj

Posted

I just think we have thrown away so many ruckman...big men take longer to develop than say a Jones who is already finding his way. Jamar can go if we are getting Meesen...but PJ has some worth..especially as he did some good things down back, and if chucked up forward could potentially work.

One thing i could not understand with Daniher...was he hardy ever put White deep, and told us to bang it long to him...we never kick long.

kicking short and constantly handballing caused a hell of alot of turnovers throughout 2007 lets hope bailey does something about it

lets hope beemer can get his groin right...cos gee he was my fav when he came over here...had a ripper 2005...his clearance work and long kicking is something to envy when he's right....dogged years with injury past 2.

damn straight im itching for him to return that damn osteitis pubis

does every1 remember that game last year where paul johnson was having a blinder until he injured his shoulder, ive never seen jamar play like that hence why we should keep pj and try and get something with jamar while we can!!!

amen to that he used to bust open packs and create space for the other midfielders. Very important player for us.

It was versus Sydney in '06 iirc.

As someone else said, PJ's still pretty young and big guys take a while to develop. I'd persevere, while rookie'ing young rucks.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
