How will he decide

I have heard from a source at Carlton that they feel as though it is unlikely they will get him. A couple of his key concerns are:

- The financials (he is asking to look at the books at every club)

- The fewest games possible at Telstra Dome

- The potential for success

- The clubs facilities

- Environmental practices (apparently Judd is a greeny)

In my opinion this puts Collingwood in the box seat followed by Melbourne.

Maybe because he could play with Brad GREEN it would allow us to get a tick in the environmental box??

If he cares about the financial situation, we are out too.

We can only do so much for him. I want to get Judd desperately, but basically we can only present what we have, take it or leave it.

If he wants Collingwood, he can go to Collingwood. Good luck trying to live a normal life though!

see my post elsewhere.. Money is irrelevant in all this. He wil get similar where ever. The forces of caps etc conspire to do this. . External opportunities may have influence. He's into development etc. So "opportunites' may be of interest to him. Its more about where he wants to go

If he looks at the books it would show that we have made steady profits for the last few years, unlike Carlton which is apparent red-hot ravourite. Essendon, Hawthorn, Saints and Bulldogs are out cause of TD leaving Collingwood, Melbourne and Richmond. Richmond is out because of quick success not happening anytime soon and Melbourne is out cause of there [censored]-poor facilities (soon to be upgraded, albeit 150 years too late) and they havent' really made steady profits over the past decade or so until the last couple of seasons, and even then it hardly compares to Collingwood's financial position.

Collingwood is a given imo.

I suspect your taking this the wrong way. If I was Judd & had the success that he allready knows I would be looking for a fresh challenge in life.We know he's coming home for love, not money. So his motives are more meaningfull things to him like satisfying his lifes desires, :- getting married & having children & sharing them with his family. Maybe he hopes that if he has a son then one day he too might play for the red & blue. You say he's a greenie, that's great so am I. So he's a sesitive caring soul who cares about more impotant things than just materialism. No wonder he's coming home.

I would want to look at the books to see if their was a future for this club to help it awaken, ie recruit & develope.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
