CASEY: Rd 03 vs Box Hill

Featured Replies

Nine goals between Jeffo, AJ and Kentfield with still a quarter and a bit to go.

Great signs.

Sinema and Bonner looking great through the middle of the ground.

1 minute ago, KC from Casey said:

Free kick downfield to Kentfield and it's now four points in favour of Box Hill.

oh is that what it was for, i couldn't work it out (turned commentary off)

Adams is going to have a sore neck after today with all the balls being kicked over his head.

Sinnema, Moose and Stanley having solid games.

Taylor building into the game okay

Want to see more from Matthews

Kentfield, Heath, Jeffo all good

casey up by 1 point at 3/4 time

14.6.90
14.5.89

bonner, heath, jefferson, and sinnema in that term in particular taking over a mid role from henderson the best of the dees

el jefe, aj, and kentfield with 3 goals apiece; jefferson could have had 5 or 6 if he had his kicking boots on

mentha very quiet, but taylor definitely worked his way into the game - taken some nice grabs reading the play

the same can't be said for adams, who has been appalling

Casey looking very strong for most of that quarter. Hawks moving through the middle of the ground too easily by short kicks and forward handball. If Casey thwart that, it will go a long way to winning. Both teams kicking well in general play but poorly going inside F50.

Liking the look of young Stanley down back, and X Taylor doing some good things too. Our 3 talls of Luker, Jeffo and AJ causing the Hawks all kind of problems.

Adams is not slow but lacks any competitive streak. Would be coming from a long way back to be on the 2027 list.

Great to see Luker, Jeffo and AJ giving us some key tall depth and potential.

We really lack mids at this level though I think both Stanley and Sinnema both show AFL list traits in my view.

Luker Kentfield serious footballer.

Goal 4!

AJ goal 4!!!!

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
