We were so fumbly. To really open up a team on transition, you’ve got to be clean.

The mids, the newer less experienced ones, have about 6 weeks to get to speed. Otherwise I feel we’ll stack the midfield with more mature players to keep us competitive.

Yep our much vaunted young ones need more work. Windsor, Lindsay, Culley, Langford all struggled tonight. Tholstrup battled on. Work to do, but we should see improvement when we get back to the G.

Max is tremendous, but he needs to park the ego sometimes and accept he needs greater assistance from a second/support ruck. He was clearly sore today and going up against two rucks was always going to be an issue for us. Turner getting injured didn't help, as that meant Petty couldn't ruck, but Heath has to be considered next week.

I think it is unfair that Culley is being played as a third tall forward when he dominated preseason in the midfield. I think we could use his more mature body as an inside mid to help the likes of Windsor. Bring Melksham in as the third forward if he is fit, or bring in Heath and play him as a forward when he isn't rucking. Release Culley in the midfield.

CJ's mistakes by foot are a real worry. I'd love to see Moniz-Wakefield brought in for him.

After his criticism last week, I thought Sparrow was a positive today.

Oliver was part of the whole culture issues with poor behaviours, needed to be punted earlier along with May and others… who knows Trac may have stayed

No way Trac was staying while Alan Richardson remains at the club.

Worried.

It's his 2nd game at a new club with a new coach. I've still got faith in him

He was a very average player at Hawthorn too.

How’d you feel before the win last week?

Am I correct in saying that we delisted Omac and Wagner way back, and got nothing for them?

They both looked like good AFL players today.

I’m not liking Langford on the wing. I really hope King etc move him to a full time mid immediately. AMW to backline and Lindsay to the wing. Just think it’s a waste leaving Langford out there, we need him around the ball. Would prefer Culley play wing

Also worried. Because our defense has been non existent in both games.

Thought it was a bit ironic that they killed us through their handball chains, which under Goodwin last year, we did the same thing to them and how we beat them last year. They're a fast side who know how to link up. That looked like bottom 4 slop to me from us.

I thought the Serong tag was unnecessary. Brayshaw got completely off the chain, as did Bolton. I'm not sure if that was a Nate Jones or a King call, but unless the player is a top 3 player in the comp, then we shouldn't be doing it. It wastes our opportunity to win clearance when you've got Tholstrup in the middle as opposed to a Langford/Windsor etc

Speaking of Langford, it just seems to me he hasn't done the work over the off-season and he's lacking confidence. He's not running hard enough to get handball receives either. Getting him to attend more CBAs may help his confidence - I think King should abandon the wing role for him and use that for just Culley and Langdon.

Where are you playing Langdon then if not on a wing?

Omac was awful. He was keeping us in it early.

U are kidding, piling on ?? They are young and should be full of run. Lindsay worries me the most. Looked like a deer in headlights tonight

We don't expect a 3 votes performance every week but to say their start of the season has been underwhelming is an understatement.

We trust our young talent but they need to lift up pronto.

I said Langford not Langdon. Our wings should be Langdon and Culley as the main two and then Lindsay and Windsor also rolling through

Not a fan of Rich but not sure how he impacted on Trac

Yep Langford needs continuous touch of the footy. Seems lost when playing too far from the action.

Their depth of talent and experience is far greater than ours, they were more direct and they have multiple tall forwards and they came out of the blocks hard fast and accurate, we were on the back foot from the start. On a positive note we fought back in the 2nd and 4th quarters, we had nearly as many I50’s but used the ball poorly coming inside 50 and we never gave up at any stage. Beaten but not bowed.

Not surprised by that result. Freo are way ahead of us.

48 points not a bad salvage as it was looking really ugly at one stage.

Voss is a narcissist/[censored].

Is King the right guy?

Yes, he is. Reports from this weeks training is that he had the boys practicing receiving poor handpasses rather than just pumping up the soccer ball. This suggests that he can adapt.

CJ actually makes us worse

King spoke pretty well in his presser. Will look at playing heath, look at where we lost it & the first quarter was disappointing.

Turner apparently has a swollen hand so will obviously get that scanned.

Said they had a plan for freos 2 rucks but that changed when turner went off

I know that but you said Lindsay & Culley are your preferences for the wing.
