Usually is but not today from what I can see we were kicking to what is normally the scoring end

Behind the goals at the southern that quarter is that goal umpire’s young wife and child. The child is wearing a tiny version of a yellow goal umpires top with the word daddy printed on the back ❤️

Dees 14 Dogs 30

Dogs with Treloar and Billings are on top. Lots of quality AFL listed and VFL regulars in their team.

Cross goal after the siren was much needed. 👍🏻

ANW and Mentha looking good so far. 👍🏻

Positives; accurate goal kicks, free kick ratio, AMW, Oscar Berry mini-purple patch and the team bus got ‘’em there.

Negatives; critical decision making and skill errors

We are very clearly missing a quality tall target down the line.

With AJ, Luker and Jeffo injured, it's not looking like it will be a quick fix

Kicking to mid sized forwards with no targets

Dogs poor goalkicking is keeping us in the game. Billings 1.3 already and missed two definite chances.

I've been impressed with Oscar Berry, looked the most involved of the first game players

As this is Round 1 of the official VFL season it will be on the AFL website.

Enjoy because IIRC we have a bye in week 2.

They will probably take two or three emergencies to Perth which won't help.

It’s broadcast live on the ABC

@Nascent agree seems like it’s kick kick kick. But moving it downfield quickly is a nice change from the over possession footy game.

I've enjoyed the fight back this quarter and we're moving it a lot better, just been a couple moments where the first option wasn't given. Think I saw two from Craven, one from Stanley and a couple from Bonner in particular. Probably being unfairly critical as the pressur from the doggies looks pretty high.
