Crunching Zac Williams was brutal! Mark Ruccutio and Michael Voss are two others that spring to mind for the talent/fear factor combo and we know where they rank in the game.

Potential for Pickett to be truly emblematic for the King era, given his willingness to accept risk, accept failures and keep going. It is almost enthusiasm for the risk 'Whee here I go!'.

His first half was not good - full of turnovers and failed attacks. He kept going and turned it around just like they say true champions do.

With a number of potentially very, very damaging young players on our list, particularly in the ball-moving roles, he sets an example which could make us terrifying to play against.

And a delightful prospect for any key forwards bored or underappreciated at their current club, too.

Yeah, that tap on to our advantage while in mid air and then driving his shoulder into Zac's ribs all in one action was amazing.
I don't think he's in Carey or Ablett's league yet at turning games but Sunday's game (one of his best I think) really made me think.
I don't think I've ever seen a player like Koz for just pure excitement, skills and awareness.
My wife commented that he has incredible - Proprioception - our sense of body awareness. It helps us to know where our limbs are, how much force to use, and how to move smoothly without needing to look. It’s essential for coordination, balance - I had to ask

Clarry was amazing at his best in close, but Pickett probably matches him in that department and then has really sublime and well weighted kicks. His vision to get through traffic and then hit the right target makes him probably the most exciting player I've ever watched when he has ball in hand.
A damaging forward but also runs hard both ways and gets back to defend. I thought he really willed himself into the game with some incredible end to end running early on. He just needed the rest of the boys to lift with him.

I can't think of a player that's had me reach for the remote more often to rewind and watch his incredible awareness and skills.
Is he up in the top 20 players of all time? Probably not yet, but I would be hard pressed to think of a more electrifying player when he's anywhere near the ball, anyhting can happen.

pickett's ability to play inside / outside is extraordinary

he's going to be an incredible player for a long time

can't wait to see how much more he can develop

This is the fittest he's been. Looks leaner and meaner. Clearly worked on his tank more over summer after requesting King for more midfield time.

I think the shades of Ablett Jnr. is the best comp. I don't think he will ever be as consistently prolific with ball winning stats but he can do everything else Ablett can and then some.

This combination of traits is rare, similar to Sam Darcy having blistering speed for a big guy.
