Really good Captain's goal from Anderson, and it helped the Suns win versus the Pies, but no way is that a Goal of the Year.

Agree. Seen about 20 of those this year.

The strange thing is that JAMIE ELLIOTT actually took Mark of the Year v the Lions. His mark was far away better than the Darcy mark. Still it was ineligible given it’s in finals. !!

MOTY should include great marks taken in finals. Heeney's mark in the Sydney final last year was far and above anything that was taken during the year. Elliot also should be in contention for his mark on the weekend.

I know people aren't fans of daicos, but at least he presents well, speaks well & is not a moron

He’s the AFL’s wet dream for sure

Smith is a walking disaster

Maxy polling pretty well. Should comfortably top his record of 20 if he keeps it up.

That Heeney mark was something else. There should be a separate category for GOTY and MOTY in finals.

M.Rowell. 3 votes v Dogs.

20 disposals. 2 tackles . 56 fantasy points 300 metres gained !! Was okay but … AGAIN hardly BOG

BEST
Gold Coast: Rioli, Anderson, Miller, Rowell, Noble, Jeffrey, Humphrey
Western Bulldogs: Richards, Liberatore, O’Donnell, Bontempelli, Williams, Kennedy

So Bailey smith talked about being in a psychiatric ward at the all Australian awards, complains the media are hassling him, but then rocks up tonight looking like that.

Can't have it both ways

Round 4

3 votes. M.Rowell

17 disposals. 8 clangers.

BEST
Gold Coast: Rioli, Miller, Uwland, Ainsworth, Flanders, Rowell
Adelaide: Thilthorpe, Rankine, Peatling, Dawson, Hinge, Soligo

This happens every year, along with Cripps not getting suspended means the medal is tarnished for many supporters.

The Bison

XL20?

Also who decides who comes?

Is it an invite thing or only people who are going to get votes go. Never really looked into it.

Is the rising star announced tonight?

Yep. It won’t be Harves though ☹️

Shows that the Brownlow is a useless medal. We bag the umpires all year then ask them to say who the best player is while umpiring the hardest game in the world to umpire.

A lot of them have never even played the game

Cameraman didn’t even know who Harvey is.

Fourth place: Harvey Langford

Camera cuts to Dan Curtain.

Typical

Langford stitched up there with the camera work, he’s had a better year than Curtin and Reid…

Remember kings birthday last year when Neal Bullen tagged daicos out of the game & he got subbed off, yet got votes .

Anyway I've flicked it over to have you been paying attention for an hour. The count will still be going.

Murphy Reid looks ecstatic to be there doesn't he? 😂

This thing is rigged!

"Matt Rowell may actually be the favourite now.

Another bizarre 3-vote game in Round 9, where he didn't poll a single coaches' vote, has him five votes ahead of Nick Daicos with a game in hand.

It's at least getting to be a toss-up. Daicos has a lot of great games to come but Rowell won't exactly stop polling either..."

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
