Seriously though, why would anyone go near Essendon at the moment? haha

Agreed. But in Flanders case they would be offering the most $ and a guaranteed full time midfield role. He would be the no.1 guy in that midfield if thats what he wants most.

No, Merrett will be according to the new Chairman and he was definite about it.

Pick 7 for Flanders could be one if the worst trades for a while

Saints desperation showing again. Ross treating his team like PS5 game

Not really when you look at this draft.

You are unlikely to get a player better than Flanders with pick 7 this year.

Surely Tim Lamb's job is in jeopardy.

This is an example of the gulf that exists between your average footy supporter's perception and the reality of what goes on inside an AFL club.

So the average footy supporter that said that Grundy was a bad fit for us was clueless? Same goes for those that wanted Roffey, Pert and Goody ousted before it happened?

Lamb may not be solely involved in luring players from other clubs and trading picks, but as the list manager he is involved in all these decisions.

Correct. picks outside the top 5 in this draft barely even hold the value of a first rounder. it's such a shallow pool and so heavily compromised.

It's why the idea of accepting the Crows pick 14 for Trac is so absurd. it's going to be more like pick 19-20 in a weak draft.

Cant see Tracc moving to Adelaide. I think he would prefer a GC lifestyle.

GC look like letting a few go including Flanders and Fiorini. They have heaps of young guns coming through including this years draft but they need a proven gun like Tracc if they want to seriously challenge for a top 4 spot going forward.

I would assume a lot of the appeal of the crows just left with Burgo as well

Wow Pick 7 for Flanders does change the talk around Trac's pick worth.

As others have mentioned 6 and 7 for Trac is very enticing. Even with the academy picks i'd still think that these picks stay in the top 10.

GCS would be mad to give both of those picks for Trac though.

They won't give away any other those picks they need them to get Uwland and Patterson. If anything they need more picks.

Cal said that Richmond is open to trading out one of its top 2 picks which will be 3&4. Said they are will to trade back or into next year to spread their picks

We could set that as the price for Trac.

Would people see Trac and 23 or Trac and pick we get for Spargo as a fair deal?

I think it says everything about the draft that Richmond want to trade pick 3 and 4 there is no talent there. It's 2 deep not including Uwland who's an academy pick. I don't want picks I want players.

It can also represent a change in direction. Ooze will be familiar with the idea of trading for need. Draft is only for recruitment... They take time... if...

If Richmond want to start moving along quicker they need players, not draftees.
