Agree with Binman that it is rare coaches and afl teams call out the umpires through the media.

That said, I do recall Chris Scott mentioning that the 4 umpires doesn’t work. So some do make mention, but they definitely don’t speak their mind!!

Why? The repercussions are too harsh when only asking for an explanation or the truth. The North fine above of $80k for suggesting Thomas didn’t receive frees in my opinion was unjustified. Like the kozzie vs hill trips there was an inconsistency in the rule being applied and then the sanction is flabbergasting that they aren’t the same outcome when the vision is there for MRO.

I’m sure you could easily find a Ginnivan or Daicos high [censored] and compare that next to the Thomas non calls and be confused with the rules.

Reminds me of the time yonks ago when John Kennedy was asked about umpiring after his team got the rough end of the pineapple one day. He said "Normally I say 'No comment'. Today I say 'Absolutely no comment whatsoever!'".

Clubs should not call out about the umpiring standard.

That said this was such a a disgraceful effort by the maggots...Im sorry...professional umpires.... in the pies game, that an exception needed to be made.

It clearly cost us four points and our finals hopes. If it's not the pies taking out one of our players, it's now the umpires seemingly chipping in, to help out.

I used to think the crowd noise was often a factor in swaying decisions. Against the pies there were so many dodgy calls when this wasn't a factor. So, I cannot find any legitimate reason why the standard was so poor.

It ruined a great day of footy on such a special occasion. Great work you maggots.
