Anything from Tom will now be a bonus to our list.

Both player and club ought to be extremely disappointed with one another that he wasn't called up for the Essendon and Freo games when Gawn was out.

Probably sums up where he sits in the depth chat.

True BBP we will never know if they never play him, he played 19 games with Lions and starred in their Reserves so can only hope that he shows us that he can play.

My belief was that he was originally signed as a forward with possible short stints in the ruck. The delivery into the forward line at Casey was very average, not helped by a long injury list and an extended time in ruck where he struggled at times against heavier opposition. I would like to see him more as a forward this season. Maybe they played him in the ruck more last season as a learning experience. I am still hopeful he will have something to offer.

I think choosing to play an undercooked Petty as first ruck over a fit Fullerton sadly shows where he's at.

Only Casey watchers could have any idea if he would have been even in consideration for the Max replacement.  I suspect he wasn't seeing that he wasn't selected.

Hopefully he will be fit and driven to show us all that he wasn't a wasted list space - over to you, Tom

Just🤯 Why ??

He did what was reported as an 8 week hamstring at the end of January.

He made it back for round 1 of VFL which wasn't until 22 March, the same day as our 3rd match of the season.

Not saying he will set the world on fire next year, but it's always hard to make an impact after that type of injury.

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.
