Like to add McQueen to that list.
Conspicuous by his absence.

Did recall a single OD post in recent memory SWYL but the prolific posts of the past no.

I vaguely remember old dee saying that he was going to have a break but then he posted for a little while after that

A delayed break?

I haven't seen Straight Sets Simon (formerly Clint Bizkit) for 6 months.  Hope he is well too

He's fine.

Suggest he's just not enamoured with the club or the current mess.

Haven't seen McQueen all year..

Wow, a thread on me I don’t believe it. Physically I am fine the rest somewhat less.
the main reason for my absence is the AFL I daily find some thing I disagree with.

e.g. This time last year a player knocks out Gus, ends his career and doesn’t not even get a reprimand and plays on in the grand final,  a few days ago Kosi bumps a pies player knocking him out by accident IMO and he gets 3 weeks. Once again the powerful get off and the less so are used as a deterrent.  Of course this  is nothing new for the AFL however the long term build up has got to me. Another example is the reserves competition, numerous byes, games played interstate and on the same weekend the senior team is in a different state meaning 3- 4 players cannot player that weekend in either team. Even the name is a joke the VFL that now has numerous interstate sides.
Add the woes of the MFC

.It appears we have managed to turn a GF winner into an also rand in the space of 3 years. Now players want out with long running contracts in place. It seems to me a contact in the AFL is only as long as the player wants it to be. Sign up for five years then after 2 you want to go home and or I can see more money down the road.
MFC is falling apart the President has not delivered on a home and won’t any time soon on top of that she is presiding over a medical department that sent Petracca back on with a ruptured spleen etc resulting in him wanting to leave. He wants to play with a big club, tough you have a contract honour it. Obviously it was not a worry when you signed on for big money over a lengthy period.

Still no home! And there won’t be anytime soon. The Vic government is broke there will not be any money to develop Caulfield this decade.
So here I am, over the last three months very disillusioned . Aussie rules has been a passion for me my whole life I hope I get the passion back soon.
In the mean time I have been busy with basketball watching my Granddaughter and going with her and my daughter to watch the finals of the Female A1 finals. I am really enjoying the basketball after an absence due to the closure of the Melb. Tigers from the NBL. No sitting outside in a Melbourne winter getting home after midnight.  There are things outside of the AFL that are good and very enjoyable.
Life is full of uncertainties so who knows what 2025 will bring.
In the mean time ladies and gentlemen enjoy life.

Great to hear from you OD from one really old dee to another. Your points are so valid and I reckon most of this forum would agree with the issues that you have mentioned. So sad that there is so much corruption the AFL at the moment. Hope it can be wiped out. Cheers, mate.

Thanks Bobby but I doubt it not while they keep picking chiefs from the old boys club.
